Actually thought last night was his best game for us.

I’d be loving him up the field so Luke McDonald isn’t anywhere near him

Yes, he was better - but in a ‘relatively safe with foot when we’re all expecting a shank based on recent weeks’ way rather than a ‘he’s beginning to see and hit kicks that suddenly open up the field for us’ way. We so need the latter.

It’s a start….

Takes too many kick ins although sometimes he finds a dangerous option that opens up the ground.

Often tries to switch when its not on and it ends up in the hands of guys like Lmac. Should be banned from giving it to those guys.

Sounds like the sooner we move past Lmac the better.

It feels like Clarko is in a game of Poker and came up with the strategy of recruiting and playing Daniel in the backline. He was hoping to be dealt 2 Queens, and he has been given a 4 and a 2 eight games into the season.

Does he continue the charade of playing this defensive liability in the backline, or throw the cards back in and play him forward or somewhere else to try and get some value out of this horrible deal?

I wonder if Watt and Hood have asked Rawlings and Clarko if their Poker game is any good. ? Maybe they are the real jokers in the pack here in not having proper due diligence and governance is approving this deal.

The process could be as simple as asking 3 ex-players/coaches to provide an opinion. eg, Buckley, Lloyd and Hodge “Is this strategy to recruit [insert player] in the best interests and long term future of the NMFL?” We all know it would be 3 Nos from these guys and 16 other List Managers.

Why does he takes the kick ins?

He almost always plays on, runs around sideways, and then crab kicks it 10-20m.

It doesn't help us clear the area at all.
Because the other defenders are worse kicks

Although if Sheezel is back there he should take them

Of course he finds dangerous options. The dump kick is a raffle at best.

Clsrko has had to send Sheezel back to salvage some drive off HB and maybe the season.

Daniel is an unmitigated disaster thus far and cost us a bomb to boot.
Realistically the season was cooked 3 weeks ago. On the back of that i are happy to see development over wins. But iam not sure playing daniels is offering that.

100%, but 6 wins would be a salvage job atm.

It's not a coincidence that team defence has tightened up since Harry moved back and plodders like Logue have been demoted.

We are running on fumes in the back half, but still doing a lot better than a month ago.

I keep saying it, but we need to train Tommy Powell with the backs in the off-season. Penetrating kick, good user and decent size. We have way to many mids looking for cba's.

I tipped 3 to 7 wins, 7 realistically is still possible but 3 to 4 is probably where the smart money is.

Yeah need to get the kick ins off him - opposition knows he can’t kick 50 and it’ll be a short kick.

Time to reposition him play him in the high hff role and if he can’t make that a winner , he can be vfl captain for 3 yrs

Any other short people clarko can get his hands on. I'm keen for another crack fyi.

I was torn with Caleb Daniel tonight. I needed him for 19 disposals in my multi, but I knew if we let the prick touch it that much we wouldn’t have a chance at winning.

With my luck, he didn’t touch it enough and we still couldn’t finish the ****ing job.

One of the only positives from the Rawlings trade is a free Supercoach pick but **** he’s even struggling in that.

We go with Sheez, Chom and Hardeman as the half back line from here on. FOS to push back as well...next year Archer, Matlock and FOS will be ready to play in the back half.

If Daniel can get himself a game within that structure in the back 7 then good for him.

Let's not kid ourselves - the Daniel trade is a nightmare. The governance around the club that allowed that trade to happen needs a fundamental review.
