He fumbles less than any other North player.

He’s technically a great kick.

I think it’s clear that the role being asked of him isn’t playing to his strengths though.

Since about round four I’ve been hoping they’d diversify his role to play small forward and link up upfield.
We definitely should give that a shot before binning him. It is where he played in the dogs' premiership year and the only position that they were willing to field him last year. His kicking inside fifty should be an asset but I worry that he'll struggle to find the footy enough there and that his lack of pace and defensive pressure will still hurt us.

Yeah I’m not a fan, but he would be the cleanest player, fumble wise, on our list.

I think Hardemann and McKercher are better distributors. I would rather others play small Forward, eg Harvey, Konstanty, even Payne /George.

Can we just treat him as a backup in vfl and play guys who contribute.

He had a negative player rating last game. We need some selection integrity and we shouldn’t be continue picking guys who are not performing. We can’t carry this guy who does nothing defensively and currently is only damaging with his kicking as a turnover king.

Not saying put him in the bin permanently, but put him back in the vfl for a while and give a chance to the guys performing and deserving a chance.

Just depressing reading really. I can't see him getting dropped and that doesn't bother me so much as we are not contending anyway but like you say it really don't scream selection integrity.

Not happening. That would be seen as the club admitting he is a bust. It's all about the optics at Arden St.

I drank some of the shiny drink that was being distributed on his behalf, and I regret it. All initial negative instincts were correct. Bollocks

For those who think Caleb is playing ok, do you still want him kicking out?
No. BUT - you will note when any of our players kick out (Fisher most notably) they all have this look of exasperation as they wait for someone, anyone to work hard into space to provide an outlet kick that isn't a dinky little pass. What's most frustrating as this has been a problem for us for years, across like four coaches now?

Sad thing is our footy department logged onto Temu but still paid Gucci prices.
sadder thing is that a collective believed this was a good move. often power is rationalised to avoid poor decisions, clearly hasn't helped in this scenario. given it happened late in the trading period i can only assume FOMO overwhelmed the group?

Most likely just an experienced head out on the field at this point.

Mid half way next season if it's still the same he may just get dropped.

He was ok though today. I think one of the least of our problems atm tbh.

When, or if lmao, team gets better he'll do better IMO
