This. Always been a fan of Ross. His work rate is phenomenal and you can see now that he has an actual role and is getting consistency in game time that he is flourishing.

Yep, he's also 22 for the entire home and away season, so he still has further upside and improvement. Of those 50 games, I reckon he'd have been sub or subbed out in his fair share of them too, which never helps, not to mention he'd been flung around a few different positions and roles.

Never gonna win a best and fairest, but he's good enough to be a very solid long term midfield rotation, you need these guys for successful lists, guys who you can just write the name on the teamsheet and trust them to do their job across the year.

Predicted pre-season that Ross would have a big year and would eventually (however reluctantly from the match committee) establish himself as easily in the best 22.
The last few months have proven so.
He's not the next Selwood - that's just f**** silly, but he's making his current position his own.

You can see him growing with confidence with every passing AFL game. I’ll be honest and say that I didn’t think he’d make it, but he’s now proved me wrong and is showing that he belongs at the top level.

He's definitely improving and puts his head over it. Worth persisting with he'll have a future. Just needs to tidy up some of those little mistakes. I did notice him go harder at the next contest when he made one though, so he's a competitor which is what you want from your mids
