Channel 9 are showing it from 1am - 5:30am  Either show the whole thing or not at all. Can't wait til we've got Lleyton or Sammy playing and they have to leave the Wimbledon coverage to watch a mickey mouse game.

The final ODI is the same night as the women's final in Wimbledon. Which one will they ditch?

Depends on whether an Australian makes it to the final. I remember them delaying a midninght Twenty20 match not involving Australian teams for a movie. At midnight??? Really do not like them as broadcasters.

Add what to what they did to SBS with the French Open (SBS wanted the rights but Channel Nine co-bid with Foxtel and then ended up showing a 1 hour highlights package from midnight).

Our batting is solid, but our bowling looks fragile.

The English team is very confident at the moment and they have KP back who is a very attacking player.

We can't afford slow-coaches doing too much consolidation in the middle overs in this series as I don't believe that we have the bowlers to defend low totals as we did last time.

Of all the emerging players we've had in the frame in recent times, Hazlewood is the one I want to see debut nice and early. Every tall young fast bowler is compared to McGrath, but of all of them, this is the kid that I think actually has what it takes to be worthy of the comparison. High hopes for him, I wouldn't blink twice if we decided to give him the nod over McKay.

Bizarre that Nine are showing half a game. In fact, it is stupid as well.

I find it weird they're covering it at all, will be the first overseas game to be broadcast on Nine (that wasn't an International tournament match) since 1997.

Looking forward to this game, Punter and Pup's form are worries, obviously the team was rusty against Ireland and Middlesex but we can't just rely on White and Hussey to get us out of trouble like we have for the last year, England are an improved side since we played them last in an ODI, will be a close series

McKay given the ass after 2 crap lead in games.

Hazlewood becomes the youngest Aussie to debut in ODIs.

This is one case when if a Victorian comes in and calls "nsw bias; victorian hatred!" I might believe it. This makes no sense at all. Haze didn't play in either of the lead up games ffs!

Unless McKay is injured

According to Cricinfo, this is the 3000th One-Day International. :)

I still remember the first one, in 70-71, played at the MCG when the test match was completely washed out.

Australia won by 5 wickets IIRC, with Stacky taking 3-40. :D

This kid is a special case. Best bowling talent in the country, they'd be stupid not to be super-keen to get a look at him on the world stage and frankly I bloody welcome it. If he's a potential elite, blood him!

While I don't disagree he has massive potential, they should have played him in the warm-ups. This will be his first competitive match for a while and will, most likely, be rusty.

Only possible explanation, although after the test side announced today, maybe Pistol was right :)
