he called him a weak f******* c***... after he swore at the umpire

Hence the umpire telling him he couldn't use the term "weak dog".....

get over it

You seem to more worked up than any. Take a bex and then fu(k off back to your own board.

THE HERALD SUN - NEED I SAY (OR YOU FOR THAT MATTER) MORE.!

AFL umpires bosses Jeff Gieschen and Rowan Sawers yesterday ruled Ellis had erred.

"Their view is that it was the wrong decision, it shouldn't have been a 50," AFL media relations manager Patrick Keane said last night.

Not even the Herald can stuff up a direct quote.

Take your blinkers off, the decision was wrong, most reasonable footy fans, the AFL, and even the Giesch agree.

The ump did clean it up and he did say weak FC. So seeing the AFL has set the standard with the g train punch, is it fair to say every player that swears will be punished? Disgraceful decision, as bad as some of the others in that game that went to the home team.

I just find it stupid that swearing at a player gets them in trouble when all around you in the crowd..especially down near the fence, there is abuse flowing like free ********S at a vikings wedding... players abusing the umpires..fair enough ..that shouldnt happen....but player to player should be free game
