zero pre-seasons.
Looks like he’s been in the system 4-5 years.
We can turn that around pretty damn fast.I absolutely can't believe how developed he and Sharp are. Is this real life?
I was also worried about this. Feeling better! While I'm confident that Sharp is ready made, I was slightly less confident about Robey... After looking at that picture, I don't think the physicality will be an issue early for him.
It all depends, on getting through the preseason unscathed, I'm sure he will get opportunities in practice matches. And also other players health. As physically developed Robey is, I hope he plays a good stint in the VFL before getting a gig in the seniors. VFL would be a huge jump in standard compared to anything he has previously played. Sharp is ready to play AFL and has the runs on the board against good competition. The last thing we need to do is deprive Robey of gaining the confidence he would get in the vfl.
Is this saying that the u18 teams have better strength and conditioning staff than Essendon? Since when do our players look like that?
I don't disagree with this. However this has eased my concerns on the physical side of things if the coaches decide he is up to speed of the game on the football side.As physically developed Robey is, I hope he plays a good stint in the VFL before getting a gig in the seniors. He had a home gym, its good, they are top picks, but Robey and Farrow did it the hard way, both coming back from missing teams earlier in the year, to be arguably the best player in their state. Is this saying that the u18 teams have better strength and conditioning staff than Essendon? I agree 100%. I feel like that's where we went wrong with Perkins. As physically developed Robey is, I hope he plays a good stint in the VFL before getting a gig in the seniors. Pretty crazy that one selection was the difference between us taking a guy ranked borderline top 5 on most draft boards instead of a guy ranked in the mid to late teens.Twomey reporting if Richmond took Robey we were going to take Sharp + Farrow then Lindsay after Melbourne's picks. What a massive swing
