This Saturday Night Geelong plays Carlton at the Telstra Dome, a home game for us and a huge clash since we lost last week, the team will be fired up, and with Ottens coming back it screams out massacre.

On this same night I've just discovered that some of my mates are organising a surprise party for another mate. He is on the second circle of my friends I would say, not quite in the best mates group but just outside. I don't know what the party will be like but it will probably be neither terrible nor amazing, so...

Which one do I go to? The footy or the party?

A party which is not still going by the time the footy's finished (even if you have to go to Geelong) would not be worth going to. If I have any understanding of these things and the way they're currently run, you may still be the second to arrive.

When I say he's not in my first circle of friends, I mean he's not one of my own personal best friends, but he's part of the same group.

I'm not sure how appreciated it will be if I show up at 11pm in my footy jumper, even if it is still going...

I'm thinking that an invite list is in order and go with jerry's idea.
