I may be biased but I' take Rocca over Richo any day of the week

At this stage of their careers there is probably isn't much in it, both are past their best.

Richo has had a better career, and in my mind a better player. I always wonder how he would of gone at a decent team and not playing for the joke that is Richmond. He could of had 1000 goals by now.

So right now, maybe just Richo but pretty close, but over their careers Richo fairly comfortably.

Two of the strongest marks in the competition without doubt. But Richo wins only cause he consistantly kicks 2-6 goals a game whereas Rocca could kick 5one week and the next 3 weeks he may have 0,2,1.

Collingwood got into two Grand finals in '02 and '03 mainly due to Rocca. Almost won the premiership for us in '02 off his own boot. Richo hasn't done anything that even comes close.

Best season was 1996 IIRC, the year after we made finals right? Or did you get the stats off a site?

James Hird does it way more than Richo.

Richo hasn't even spat the dummy since before around 2002. Oh and once during a game in I think our wooden spoon season with our worst team ever.

Matty Richardson is the better player, he is far more dominant and his presence on the ground is far greater.

richo has never performed on footballs biggest stage where rocca has, playing well in a grand final and prelim finals and semi finals that is the mark of a good player who performs on the biggest stage against the best opposition

rocca is one of those players that even if his form is down, he is very important to collingwoods structure.
looking back on their careers though, i would take richo. i have always been a big fan, at his best he was awesome. plus his unpredictable nature and emotions make a game all the more interesting.
two much maligned players, but both with fine careers all the same.

richo is like sav, kicks plenty of goals but doesn't seem to help his team that much

sav kicked 90+ at the woods, yet we were rubbish

yet ant was a major driver behind us getting to a couple of GF's, his value was evidenced in 03, with him in the team providing a massive presence up forward, the players walked taller and knocked over the brions in the QF

then with him gone, brisbane walked all over us in the GF as we didn't have our big forward presence

That means Rocca's 21 teammates were better than Richo's 21 teammates

Richo has won the club's goal kicking 11 times!!

Rocca's good but Matty Richardson is a freak athlete who covers 18km a game and is statistically the best contested mark since Wayne Carey.
