In European football if you celebrate a goal by what is deemed to inflame or antagonize the opposition fans you are penalized by a card , suspension or fine. Why is it that an aboriginal man can aggressively charge at a group of opposition fans and not be penalized? People argue well it was a celebration of his heritage! Well do you think he could've celebrated his heritage and his goal by doing what he did to his own supporters or teammates and then hugging them afterwards? Doesn't he understand how this could culturally inflame a situation or upset white people who couldnt understand the unique celebration? Should we bow down to his superior knowledge of aboriginal culture and accept that he upsets white people through his actions? Adam Goodes needs to grow up and stop playing the race card otherwise he will drift into insignificance and not garner the support he deserves for race related issues in this country.
Probably because if you deliberately antagonise a crowd of European football fans you will get Neo-nazi marches and riots. Perhaps best to avoid that.
