Haven't you heard - Basil is going to Hollywood. It's not official but am led to believe he has been offered the part of one of the commentators in a movie (as it's possible a movie is being made about the Bradbury medal that was won by Australia in the Winter Olympics some years ago).

I've always been a massive fan, but what a coach we have.

You only have to look at what's happening at Freo to see what happens when you have the wrong man.

Conversely our man seems to have a cast iron bond with the players, cohesion with the board and an astute coaching brain.

For mine, if Simmo wins a flag in this climate, given what he started with and the results his Eagles have achieved, he will be our greatest ever coach.

Worst case scenario when he retires he will be our 'Roos' in the Vic media, standing up for the West.

If we win a flag under Simmo, enough of the 'honourary West Aussie', let's make it legit. Simpson for WAian of the year.
