No Cox/Judd/Cousins/Kerr to drag this team over the line, we were also lucky with injuries in 2006 and then when we lost those players at various points from 2007 onwards Woosha got exposed.

Simmo had a system that got us to the 2015 GF, then had a rethink and rejigged the system that took us to the flag three years later.

If we win another under Simmo he overtakes Malthouse imo.

Not to crisitise the team too much but I do think simmo had it a bit difficult with the board as well taken a while for him to stamp his aurthority on the team. As good as nissy Vozzo and gepp are with the off field stuff they have too many hands in the pie for my liking

At the Eagles post game function in Melbourne last night, a few of the boys were trying to hang their premiership medals on Oscar Allen. He didn’t let them, wouldn’t even let his teammates hand them to him, and said he didn’t want to touch a premiership medal until he’d won one.

The move he made in shifting Vardy forward to match up on Langdon at the end of the game went a long way to winning the game for us yesterday. Well done Simmo, I thought you’d take us to a premiership but I’ll admit I was concerned when we kept playing guys that were past it, but this year you did all the right things and reaped the well deserved rewards.

He's incredible.

For him to visit Tom Cole's very sick father and attend the funeral was amazing. For him and Jamie Graham to spend time in Willie Rioli's home town with Willie's family is amazing.

Too see Simmo cry when Nic hurt his knee shows genuine love for his boys. Even after the win today he made none of the win about him. It was about his boys.
