No point spending big bucks & draft capital on a marquee player, when we don't know what we have on our list already.
just because YOU don’t know what we have on our list, doesn’t mean the club doesn’t
they watch the occasional game!

Like this.I think they have on paper what your saying but need to get games into them. Ideally another bull over the next 2 drafts.
Pedlar the Bull
Berry the All Rounder
McHenry with another preseason I feel will be a big improver. His last 2 games of 22 and 24 disposals with 6 & 8 marks, give him a license to use his tank.
Hately I feel is far from a write off and maybe the big benefactor from Burgess appointment.
Murray goes alright I reckonReplacement whipping boy's name starts with M, ends in y and has the same amount of letters as Mackay...
Offers will come for him and every chance clubs pay up for him, e.g. Geelong or Dogs.

Rowe will be the new whipping boy.Murray goes alright I reckon
Bit harsh
Harry is a given accumulator and compares very similar to Neale at the same age.Like this.
Where do you see Harry?
Could we trade in a bull. I'm thinking Maynard...
He's trying to get into the middle at Collingwood. If we can offer him every opportunity to be a mid, that would be a sweetner. He would need to earn his inclusion but I think most crows fans would be happy to see if it can work.Harry is a given accumulator and compares very similar to Neale at the same age.
Can Maynard go into the middle?
I just don't see a midfielder in Maynard , or at least a type of mid that we needHarry is a given accumulator and compares very similar to Neale at the same age.

Stachan was the best lower league ruck all year and he's 25.Got to love this group, Stauchne plays a couple of good games and now we are throwing out trading ROB ideas [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
He may not get cheaper than a year where he's playing reserves footy and GCS owe him $700k.I wouldn’t be actively looking for a trade but if the right offer came I think Strachan has shown that it would be worth the risk, I.e. if we can turn ROB into a pick that helps get us Dawson/Rankine.
Although personally I don’t see the rush to get Rankine this year, if he wants to come pick him up cheaper when he’s out of contract, it’s not like we’re contending and he’s the missing piece.
We haven't even draft Murley and your starting alreadyReplacement whipping boy's name starts with M, ends in y and has the same amount of letters as Mackay...

Why would that matter?Us trading out Strachan (for fu** all in return), only for ROB to go down with a long term injury would be classic Adelaide.

Strachan did enough to stay on the list IMOWhy would that matter?
You'd assume we've also rookie drafted some other backup ruck. Plus - it's not like it's going to ruin a flag year.
Strachan did enough to stay on the list IMO
We have 2 mid range plodders in ROB and Strachan, both are OK but an upgrade would be highly desirable as our team becomes a contender. Rehn and Pittman they are not. There not even Clarke and Biglands. I accept they’re better than Herbert and Golding. You rarely get to keep 2 AFL quality first choice rucks that can't play meaningful minutes elsewhere at your club. The guy playing SANFL awaiting injury will be entertaining offers from clubs needing a RTG first ruck. Likely that we'll be losing Strachan, so it raises the question as to whait's our best result assuming one will be departing. Fair discussion, especially seeing Strachan is presently unsigned.

Totally irrelevant how they compare to our past rucking combos. It's whether the one that's not signed is deemed a better option than existing at another club. It's not us pushing either out, it's losing one who is offered a lead ruck role at another club.
none of those things have happened
Strachan's Manager is not taking calls from Clubs looking for a #1 Ruckman ......he's probably fielding calls for a 2nd ruck role similar to his role at the CrowsHow would we know what phone calls Strachan's manager is taking? One thing that is certain is that club's rarely keep 2 AFL quality rucks on their list with one playing state league awaiting an injury. The other thing that is certain is that we haven't announced Strachan's RE-signing yet. And in any case, these are hypothetical discussions should Strachan be offered a first ruck gig from another club.
Nicks has constantly talked speed, speed, speed ....and other Clubs are the same ....this is why Roberts will definitely slide a long way in the DraftInteresting that Nicks said yesterday that midfield and forward were the two areas they want to add to through the trade and draft period
He also specifically referred to adding power and speed to the team

He will be taking phone calls from teams that are currently playing a ruck less entrenched than ROB. Strachan is the best ruckman in the lower leagues and has shown he could have it to be an AFL first ruck.Strachan's Manager is not taking calls from Clubs looking for a #1 Ruckman ......he's probably fielding calls for a 2nd ruck role similar to his role at the Crows
His improvement this year is remarkable ....his core is much stronger and hasn't been getting pushed off the ball in ruck contests .....he's also HTFU
With the success of his last 2 games .....his motivation for next year will be high & I expect just as big an improvement in 2022 ......ROB now has genuine competition & that's also good for ROB
Eh. Ruck is the least important position on the ground. Geelong and Richmond are the two best teams of the last decade and there isn't a premium ruck amongst them.We have 2 mid range plodders in ROB and Strachan, both are OK but an upgrade would be highly desirable as our team becomes a contender. Rehn and Pittman they are not. There not even Clarke and Biglands. I accept they’re better than Herbert and Golding.
