Yeah go on then. And ours to compare with them. Then predict out of each who will have had the better careers by the end.5?
Do you want me to list Ports young talent?
I'm with ya man. The result involving a vote involving humans is never the best guide.Thilthrope, Sholl, Schoenberg, Butts* (a day too old), McHenry* (should have gotten R23).
2012 doesn't count, it wasn't the Grand Final.Adelaide also have four flags actually
1997, 1998, 2012* (robbed by umpires in the Prelim) and 2017* (should have been at Adelaide Oval)
I think the stats back me up on this one
2012 doesn't count, it wasn't the Grand Final.
To save me the effort can I just post the team sheet for the team playing in the prelim and you work it out?Yeah go on then. And ours to compare with them. Then predict out of each who will have had the better careers by the end.
Basic football knowledge says NO.I think you'll find we won the flag in 2012 when you check the history books. We were robbed in the Prelim and of course we would have won the GF after that, everyone knows which is why it's our flag
The second paragraph is usually how AFC roll.If we don't get Dawson because we're busy signing a better player I'm sure no one will mind
If we miss Dawson and pick up nothing or some scrub then I'm sure people will be a tad disappointed
Sounds like they're waiting for poort to finish the season then the discussions will start.Or maybe no one has any real sources on the destination club
So many examples where the media does guess
Who knows maybe the player is undecided at this stage which club, he is working through the offers and other information to help him make a decision

I see you're still doing trades as they do on BF. In the real grown up world of AFL, we aren't getting Dawson for a stale bag of chips through the PSD. If we are in a bidding war with Port, we just have to be brave. If we drafted a player like Dawson with pick 4 (6), I'd be very happy with the selection. A lot of wank on here about Lukocious, Dawson is better than him. For once be brave at the trade table Crows or Port will bully us yet again.I have a feeling he genuinely was going to stay but the bucket load of dollars we are throwing his way is way to good to refuse.
Who gives a crap what Sydney want for him.
We have 4th pick in the PSD and stated he wants to go home.
Kelly compo for Stephens and Dawson through PSD would be a start the car moment for the club.
On paper we should've won 17* tooThilthrope, Sholl, Schoenberg, Butts* (a day too old), McHenry* (should have gotten R23).

Have they got no older players playing today? Sorry, I havent been keeping up, don't care much about them.To save me the effort can I just post the team sheet for the team playing in the prelim and you work it out?
There was at least one grandy in the Craig era we coulda or shoulda had as well I reckon. On paper we should've won 17* too
Alot can happen in 2 years.Have they got no older players playing today? Sorry, I havent been keeping up, don't care much about them.
Anyway, I take it you'd be predicting them finishing higher than us for every year for the next seven or so then?? Big call that. Next two I'll give you no worries. After that its a bit less clear (for me, you no doubt have them well above us, after all their young players are so much better).
Perhaps you need to go back up the line and read all the posts in this conversation rather than jumping in half arsed.Have they got no older players playing today? Sorry, I havent been keeping up, don't care much about them.

The talk is that the Swans offered a 5 year deal worth around $700k per year. He declined because he wanted a 2 year deal to bring him to RFA where he would then cash in even more. He then told the swans fans not to worry, so we all thought it would be worked out. However, something happened in the last week or so to convince him that he needed to return to SA for 'family reasons'.Your cooked.
It has nothing to do with the trade table.
It's about the $$ and conditions that a player out of contract accepts.
The trade talks only begin once the player has agreed which club
Logically PSD doesn't get mentioned but if push comes to shove then there's always an option and contracts can be written in a way that mo other club would touch it.
But theres no way I he'll pick 4 is part of the deal and your cooked if you would be giving it up when we need A grade mids when we have so much cap space.
You offer more dollars to avoid the trade table war.
Maybe get basic negotiating lessons.
The getting the player to commit is the hard part. The trade is the easy part for the club nominated.
I'm still struggling with your analogy that AFC is Destiny the stripper.step 1 - let the club down gently. It’s not me it’s you
step 2 - let the club know you want to date different people, but having decided to separate you made a wholly unexpected, but potentially profound connection with someone else entirely and only after you broke up. You want their blessing to date to destiny who is a stripper
step 3: let them you know you are disappointed that they do not support your attempts at happiness, and you will only consider dating destiny and that’s you’re not mad, just that you thought they understood you better. But destiny is your soulmate
we’re at step 1

So I doubt it is about the money or a contract length, and it's not because he wanted to play for a team that is on the rise - he had all of that.
My thought is that playing in a state where you don't get to sleep in your own bed for 10 weeks due to lockdowns would impact your personal relationships to the degree that something needs to change. I have no more information than anyone else to base this on, however my feeling is that he just wants to get back to SA and probably doesn't have a club preference.
As I said earlier, I hope you guys get him because you have been on the other side of this a number of times.
