Assuming we do get Dawson, who does he replace in the 22?
He'd be a Top 4-5 player, so pretty much anyone.

Exactly, our 22 is stacked full of talent, why are we even thinking about Dawson??Assuming we do get Dawson, who does he replace in the 22?
Perhaps Seedsman on a wing? Or do we play Dawson in the midfield?
With Milera coming back, we seem to be well stocked for running half-back flankers. Or do we consider trading one?

Maybe we try playing with two wings...

4x senior list vacancies now - Stengle, Lynch, Talia, KellyI think Vader said we’ve got 4 spots available, presume 5 now with Kelly leaving, so maybe not too many more delistings needed
Yep... they usually keep 1 player in limbo until the end of the trading period, to give them the flexibility if something favourable shows up.O'Connor's list position and contract amount is presumably now contingent on what happens during free agency and trade weeks - he gets whatever is left over
Believe it or not, you can play Seedsman, Dawson, Milera, and Smith all in the same sideAssuming we do get Dawson, who does he replace in the 22?

Seed was #3 in our B&F... & in the AA squad.Assuming we do get Dawson, who does he replace in the 22?

Cook I don't see why not considering he could quite easily rotate on a HFF, and Sholl ehh, fell out of favour towards the end of the year, probably gets pushed out if Milera and Dawson are there R1But can you play Cook and Sholl as well?
If Milera is lacking full fitness, would we consider using him as a small forward?Milera is made of glass, we should have low expectations of what he may do post injury.
We play 3 wingmen... with 1 on the bench.I was thinking Cook on the other wing….
His best football has been off half back, buy may be a way of transitioning him back in to AFL.
Respectfully disagree. No, his best football for us was half forward, he was taken to the cleaners by his opponent when playing half back on many occasions because he doesn't have a defensive bone in his body, most memoraby when old man Ablett and his 90 year old hamstrings ran circles around him. Even an attacking half back has to defend sometimes, and he doesn't. They should spend at least half the season running him forward and then midfield in the SANFL before he gets anywhere near the league side.

Potentially but not currently.Literally anyone, he would be the best player on the list...
Gee whiz mate. You've got a lot of confidence for a newcomer. However, your dismissive arrogance seems familiar.Perhaps you need to go back up the line and read all the posts in this conversation rather than jumping in half arsed.
About Port I said “contender now with good young talent and ability to attract players”. Perhaps being a contender now is what’s important to Dawson and he also identifies their young talent and ability to attract players.
We can talk about who will be better by the end of their careers but a lot can happen by then and perhaps Dawson wants to bank the best chance he has of winning a flag now by going to a contender.
As for not caring about them and knowing enough about them, then why the fuxk would you jump into a conversation about 2 clubs and highlight your ignorance about one of them?
