I don't know if Clarke is good at playing kick behind the play role BUT Hudson would be a good option. Since Hamill is unlikely to play maybe Hentschel could be played as a loose man in defence and block the space in front of Gherig. If Gherig provides contests Milne will get ****loads of crumbs.

Milne is definetly the one who we have to keep an eye on. Someone has to do a very good job on him.

Reiwoldt will play CHF all day especially with Hamill gone. You will see Reiwoldt run Kenny all over the ground. One minute he will be at FF the next minute he will be getting a kick at HB. Kenny would have to get some pasta and Gatorade into him the night before the game.

It will be tough but I reckon we can win and if Carey kicks straight he will kick a bag.

He could perhaps play on Milne. Would be an ideal match up and could run off him and make him look silly.
Not a bad idea, but Milne is lazy! Reckon Macca needs to work harder, so I would play him as a run-with player on 1 of the Saints key midfielders & make him work hard to earn his big pay packet.

So i would play McGregor on Reiwoldt and play someone else on Gherig and when th eball comes Fraser's way double ream him or play a ruckman in front off Gherig to block up the space.
I agree Stiffy that Kenny is a must to return to CHB to play on Reiwoldt. Would play Nige on Fraser.

That sounds good. Maybe even swap them around. Don't know if Smart would have the engine to go with St. Nick.

I just hope Gary doesn't bring in Perrie as the match up for Gherig or Reiwoldt:eek: BUT knowing our Gazza, that is a distinct possibility.:(

Yes knowing Gary that would be what is going on but hopefully sence will get the better of him and Perrie will play at CHF, you know what will happen if Perrie plays in defence.................Carey will play at CHF and Perrie will get dropped again:rolleyes: Please dont shoot me down, Burton on Reiwoldt???????? Has the leap, pace to go with Reiwoldt;)

Not a bad idea for a second option plan but strenght may be an issue.

Of course the problem is that Burton does not have a defensive bone in his body and he would run off and leave Reiwoldt to do as he pleased.

On paper it seems OK but if memory serves me correctly Reiwoldt was giving Burton a bath last year at Telstra Dome before hurting his ankle after taking a mark in the goal square. He is not a defensive sort of player and is best when he runs around like an unregistered dog.

<loads weapon>

Burton lacks the discipline to go with Riewoldt. He probably doesn't have the pace (but endurance would be OK) to go with Riewoldt.

<aims>

Remember Round 2 last year?

Burton started on Riewoldt.
Saints got to a 42 point lead.
Burton stuffed his ankle.
Crows came back.
(Riewoldt got 3 Brownlow votes)

<fires>

If you see Burton chasing Riewoldt around, it's time to beat the traffic and get away from Footy Park.

My 2c.

Ok point taken;)

Qtr time & looking okay so far!

Ricciuto and McLeod...what can I say?? These guys have been awesome so far! Keep it up and we'll win for sure.

Bode, Doughty, Hentschel, Begley ;), Stenglein, Johncock and Edwards are all impressive tonight. How nervous does Jericho seem...no thanks to Burton for yelling at him :rolleyes:

2 things tho:
1. GO DOWN THE MIDDLE!!!

2. Clarke is useless.

:) Go Crows!!!
