Yeah, we'll see how we go for a while longer mate - there's still about two months to go before round one, so there's no rush just yet. Also plenty of Swans fans that haven't posted in the thread just yet.

Slowly but surely we're getting there, guys! :) Senior players that have yet to be selected are:
Jarred McVeigh
Ben Mathews
David Spriggs (yes, I know)
Nic Fosdike
Stephen Doyle
Darren Jolly
Michael O'Loughlin
Leo Barry
Ted Richards
Jared Crouch
Luke Vogels
Paul Bevan

I'd like people who are still yet to select a player to pick from those 12first. The others that are left are:
Josh Willoughby
Andrew Erickson
Matthew Laidlaw
Kristin Thornton
Ryan Brabazon
Heath Grundy
Earl Shaw
Matthew Davis

We'll put these guys up for adoption if we manage to find people to adopt all of the senior players.

Hey folks - 20 players adopted so far - great result for a small board like this one. If we don't have everybody adopted before the North Sydney Oval game, we'll open it up for anybody who'd like to take a second player to do so.

Still to be picked are:
Jarred McVeigh
Ben Mathews
Josh Willoughby
David Spriggs
Nic Fosdike
Stephen Doyle
Darren Jolly
Andrew Erickson
Kristin Thornton
Jared Crouch
Ryan Brabazon
Luke Vogels
Heath Grundy
Paul Bevan
Matthew Davis
Earl Shaw

Plus the rookies
James Wall
Ed Barlow
Stefan Garrubba
Sam Rowe
Simon Phillips
Kieran Jack
Adam Prior

Please only take the rookies and younger guys on the senior list if you expect to see at least a few reserves games this year, or have some other connection to the player, which I see has prompted a few non-Swans fans to take part (you're all more than welcome, guys :) ).

My adopted young man Dempster put in a good game on Friday night i thought. His new buzz haircut made him look all the more marshal of the troops. I like his size, he has bulked up a couple of kilos and along with LRT looked really strong. His confidence was great to see and although i didn't see much of him in the second half, i thought he put in a strong performance. He worked hard and i don't know what it was about his game but i think he will be in for VERY big year!

My adopted player, Tadhg Kennelly, didn't play in the North Sydney game, and I dont think he would be playing in the first round of the NAB cup either. Though I still think that the Swans are going to win pants down...erm...hands down...

Nick Malceski or the Eski had a slow start on Friday night against the Dons, however as the match went on in the first half we started to see him get the pill on the HBF and drill some beautiful left footed missiles (ala Stuey Maxfield) to leads. However it wasn't a polished performance from the Eski as he turned over the ball a couple of times but it was still promising enough for a player regarded as the next big thing in the R & W.

Hey guys - this is how Adopt-a-Swan will work.

We want you to each start a thread on your player - give it a title that identifies it as the Adopt-a-Swan thread for that player. Your task is to keep discussion rolling in your thread. You need to make at least one post a week in any week in which you see your player play... for the seniors and if possible the reserves. If you aren't fortunate enough to see your player in action, keep an eye out for articles about them, or come up with another topic about that player for the week. Your aim will be to attract other posters to your thread with the most engaging, creative discussion topics you can come up with. Of course, there's nothing stopping you from making more than one post each week, if you're bursting with ideas.

Good luck and have fun. :)
