Elevate Gollant into the league squad and leave him there.
The kid oozes class, has size, speed and that little bit of X factor, he's going to be a hard match up for opponents.
He reminds me of a young Jack Gunston coming through the SANFL.
Gunston was a talent that spent far too much time in the SANFL. There's no need to have those types of players running around in the seconds and not fulfilling their potential.
We're not in premiership contention so take the punt, get games into him.
Seems a natural forward to me who could rotate easily off the bench with Fog and Thilthorpe.
Still gives us some size and agility when those players have a breather.
He's a keeper.
No fight here mate.

All for it

The replays up. I've watched the first quarter and about half of the second quarter. Been watching hately carefully since ppl were critical of him. Can't see any faults thus far. Tough judges in here.

Perhaps a little bit of Isaac Heeney?

Where is the replay? Would like to watch it after the Brisbane win

Spot on. I am disappointed Gollant wasn't in the side this week. Hope that performance is rewarded next week. Promising from Pedlar too, although he needs to gain match fitness.

Hopefully Pedlars kid doesn't become a whiny, clickbait journalist like Tony's has.
Haha, I was initially thinking that I haven't even heard from Oscar... but gather you are talking about Kornes.

He should be in as our medium forward launch at packs type whilst mcadam is out..

Thoughts from watching the replay:

Gollant was absolutely excellent. Was a nightmare to deal with in the air, competed hard on the ground (including a pair of classy snaps) and was impactful up the ground. A complete performance and a well earned 5 goal game for his troubles.

Pedlar just oozes talent and not for the first time in Adelaide colours where he's done a lot of damage when he's hot. Had some nice moments in the midfield when he shifted there in the 4th.

Strachan played a pretty standard game for him at this point. Looked like the best ruck in the SANFL.

Davis played very well, was hard at it, and added a fair bit of dash once he won the hard ball. As much as I'm critical of us retaining him, at least he should help our SANFL side remain competitive.

Hately had a very good game. Competed well on the inside, accumulated well and probably picked up 2-3 goal assists from being involved in the link play. Wasn't too many skills issues either. Lets see if he can build on that.

First time I've seen Taylor play a full match and he's a rather impressive player. Good speed, aggression, skills and seemed to always make the right decision when he was involved. If that's the standard we get from him, it won't be long until he debuts.

Berry had a rough 10 minute patch in the 2nd. Outside of that, he was solid without being spectacular.

Parnell played well, didn't feel like he was heavily involved but he did a lot of good when he was, plus he sunk two goals.

McAsey, Worrell, Borlase, and Frampton were all solid.

Nankervis is certainly an interesting prospect. Did some nice things when he was involved, kicked a goal and he seems a hard worker/aggressive tackler to boot. I look forward to seeing where he'll be at in June-July, once he's acclimatised to the SANFL.

Cook was just a class above when he was involved.

Newchurch had a forgettable one, but in saying that, it was Gollant and Pedlars day in the forward line.

I thought Freeman was rather poor today, just seemed fumbly a lot of the time. Probably for the best to have that game now.

Hamill played well. Provided a fair bit of run and carry, but was let down by his kicking skills at times.

Need to really try him up forward. I see so much of Cameron from GWS now Geelong in him and the way he moves when he played up forward as a junior . Can’t believe the club doesn’t see that FOg , Berg and Thilthorpe are all tall , lumbery slow combination and no real standout athletics traits. Thilthorpe as good as will be is not fast and not a pack market .
Himmelberg is the third wheel here, Thilthorpe forward ruck and hyper skilled.

Clearly Berg must make a contest tomorrow, but if he brings the ball to ground and keeps the ball in, but I don't think that's enough for a top 8 team.

That should be a minimum, we need to see Berg clunk some marks like the end of 2019, and kick goals.

It's the goals we really need, and if Berg can't do it, let's hope another can step up. Gollant could be that man.

Thilthorpe is slow with no standout athletic traits? I've heard it all now.

Hes an ok pace but would not call him quick. The King Brothers are quick talls , Luke Jackson, Ben Brown are all quicker tall types than Tilly. He may be a good player ling term but no he's not quick and no he doesn't have a great jump so I agree somewhat.

The thing with TT is that he needs to use his strength which is his tank. The practice matches he was trying to play a bit like a big key forward but needs to get on his bike and run his man into the ground.

We should have one of the all time easiest forward lines to break into.

What Does he look like physically ? Like he needs 1-2 pre seasons ?
Pretty bloody solid already, every chance he`ll play AFL in 2022 if yesterday and is any indication. Very composed and rarely missed a target, kicking a highlight.

Is he fast ? No . Do you see him jump like Georgiadis ? No . Do Fog and Himmelberg have these traits ? No

That what athletic traits are my friend . Thilthorpe’s one wood is his fitness and fines but not speed or athleticism.
