Trump weighs in to political issue in sport - unacceptable to mix politics and sport
AFL mixes poltics and sport - great leadership

Makes sense. Totally consistent.

I would have thought that of all things to worry about Jewish conspiracies in, sport would be the least of concerns.
What are you on about?

Aren't you mister equality? What does sport really do? From a young age you are taught to hate the team that is not yours, usually passed down from your parents belief. It creates division

So elites make money? Strange that
Who are these elites you speak of? It's a pretty broad term that covers everybody from Malcolm Turnbull to Gordon Ramsey, and Dusty. Are they in on it as well? *cue spooky music*

Everyone except rich people are "elites" - and you won't get two more knockabout blokes than Donald Trump and Rupert Murdoch - a teacher or sessionally employed academic - ****ing out of touch elites!

Nigel Farage - a millionaire Four X dealer who went to Eton and Oxford - he's just a normal pint drinking lad like you and me - not one of those disgusting elites

So long as they keep the masses all engaged, the people will follow. That yes sign would of kept your interest for a little longer

Modern elites are basically equivalent to the clergy of the Middle Ages. They weren't as rich or powerful as kings and lords, but they were the next richest and powerful, and they spent most of their time moralising about what was and wasn't acceptable to think and say.

And like the clergy, modern day elites are never held accountable when predictions they make are wrong - e.g. forecasting economists.

Exactly. When was the last time a player/coach said anything outside of the norm on any issue?

I'd hazard a guess that the AFL's actions have meant more to you than me.
Yes it made me go back down to the post office, break into the post box, find my vote, and change it to yes. Unfortunately I couldn't tell which was mine, so I changed them all to yes.

Adam Goodes?

Or does saying something make him an elite?
I'm not sure what players or coaches have to do with it. I don't care what they have to say, good or bad, on any issue. Goodes should be able to take stands on issues that affect him. Those who booed him were idiotic, although I did think he was a diving flog, he was never more worthy of a boo than any other diving flog.

Interesting you raise Goodes, because I remember this article about Goodes and and the 2014 GF, coming from a member of the elite (an opinion writer, journalist and former academic):

For too long, it has been acceptable to exclude and marginalise female, racially diverse and LGBTQI fans.

For its part, the AFL has tried to fight racial and homophobic abuse through the Racism: It Stops With Me and FOOTY4IDAHO campaigns. Yet it seems the message is either not getting through or, perhaps, is being actively rejected.

Building a more inclusive game isn't just about themed rounds and policy documents, it needs be at the heart of everything the AFL does.

Does it? Only a clerical caste would insist their self-righteous version of morality be part of all human affairs.

Who are they?? can you please refrain from using the expression "cultural Marxists" when you explain
