Rumour AFL not happy with Tex criticism of MRO. Sanction could loom.

To make sure every footy supporter sees the replay of this on every footy show instead of it quietly going away, it's probably worth the potential fine or whatever.

As far as any potential "Tex should just be quiet" stuff, he's probably heading in to the media post career, he's got to have an opinion at some point. Might as well get it over with.

Maybe he gets a fine and next week he can come out and say that if Cotchin criticised the AFL in a triple m jokey banter type segment the AFL wouldn't have even noticed.

The AFL is corrupt we all know it, they have their precious noses that far up their arses it’s their tongue, it’s becoming a precious regime of high paid leg humping Nuffies who couldn’t give a s**t about genuine footy followers.
It’s the corporate dollar that’s important, football used to be the working mans entertainment on a Saturday,no wonder we are tuning off

Whether he is right or wrong about the criticism, he seriously needs to learn to shut his mouth. He shoots from the hip, but forgets to engage his brain.
I think Tex is genuinely fed up with all the penalties he’s had over the years. As opposed to precious-protected-Cotchin, who seems to be getting away with a lot of s**t, that most others would be penalised for.

FWIW, that kick from the boot with studs up at Tex’s legs was potentially dangerous with possibility to cause shin splints, fractures or puncture wounds. It deserved a harsher than a $2000 fine, which is hardly anything relative to the salary that Cotchin has.

Here’s some focused pics with the actual act of entanglement:

You can see clearly the feet are positioned to likely make contact with Tex’s legs. The likelihood for trauma/damage was not low. It was lucky for Tex that he was able to move out the way with minimal contact.

Cotchin had intent to cause injury, with no actual outcome of injury. $2000 fine. Piss...weak...

F it , good on him , this country is being run by a bunch of doo gooders and the AFL is one of the corporations that seems to follow suit . A man can no longer say the truth on something that’s as evident as a ……..

The extreme injury happens if Tex lands funny and does his knee, I guess it could happen... $2000 fine?

Doesn't impact my life if Tex wants to highlight it and cop a fine or whatever so good on him.

Particularly where we’re at an era where people are given 2-3 games for unintentional accidents.

And here, we have an intentional act to harm and a whopping $2000 fine is handed! Cotchin is gonna feel real hurt from this..

The "look of the game" gets talked about a lot or not at all

Bingo, read a great snippet on Twitter about this, person said they aren't a Crows supporter and good on Tex for saying something and shame on the AFL for allowing a kick to happen and said wait for this weekend when a junior thinks it's fine to do it cause Cotchin did it without missing a match.

People saying he should be quiet are attacking the messenger cause they don't like the message. Which is to say a lot of them are Richmond fans and it's an attempt to deflect from his very valid point.
