Hey guys just interested on your thoughts for this topic. With some talk about a possible revamp on the Reserves system it would be interesting to see what your thoughts are on this topic.

Cheers

this would mean increased club lists which is super for bringing more young kids in and means more young talent has the chance to prove itself

i agree with matera_goal... but the SANFL and WAFL are giving interstate clubs an advantage of developing there young players in a stonger league. ust a scenario i thought of... maybe everyone gets extended lists, the sanfl and wafl still operate and all south and west australians clubs players that dont play for tehre side go back into the sanfl and wafl clubs and in victoria all there extra players play in a reserves comp against other victorian teams

Huge thumbs down-The VFL changed to the AFL and pretty much ruined their state league-You cant just say screw the SANFL and WAFL because we have a good state comp and you guys dont. I don't care if the progress in SANFL/WAFL players is better, its about the destruction of two historical leagues. Can Victorians stop whining about the matter-Anyway, if the WAFL or SANFL have anything to do with it (Which they most definately will) the dream wont come to fruition

This may be good for the AFL (management wise), however for footy in general, it would not be good. The WAFL and SANFL would definately suffer.

And as far as Hawthorn goes, I like the Box Hill arrangement. I went to a Box Hill game last time I was in Melbourne and enjoyed the atmosphere. We need to support suburban football in all states and territories for the sport to remain number one.
