I don't think it matters much.

Melbourne beat GWS we play Melbourne.

GWS beat Melbourne we play the loser of Sydney and Hawks.

We beat Melbourne twice in close games.

We went 1-1 with Sydney beating them at SCG.

We lost to Hawks twice in close games.

Any of those results can be reversed easy enough in finals.

Probably marginally prefer GWS to win. Melbourne are on the up, Hawks and Swans in the same position as us.

Usually you would want to avoid Sydney in Sydney but given their record there this year plus Geelong's bad record at the G I'd almost take the Swans if pushed.
