Definitely made a mistake calling this "State of Origin" rather than "All Stars" or "Dream Team" or something. Still better than the last time the men did this ("Hall of Fame Tribute Match" - what a mouthful that was!) Hopefully next year the AFLW try out an East-West concept, or some similar idea, rather than a situation where one team represents something meaningful and the other really doesn't.

If I didn't have to work tonight, I'd definitely be going. The AFLW footy so far has been a joy to watch and the quality will continue to improve year on year.

The problem with these early Women's Footy games is that those names don't mean anything to me. I hope they will in the near future though.

You'd have to think the Vics would have an advantage from a cohesion point of view as the Allies only got together a day or two ago. Whereas the Vics could have been doing some training as a group for a few weeks (I'm not if they actually did or not).
