Aker. You wouldn't need to think twice. He will really give the Dogs more goal-scoring options and provide more magic. As it has been pointed out, Mal probably won't be able to adjust to the changes.

He's super strong which has worked in the past, but he's never been super quick and he's short for a key position player, and now that he can't shove forwards in the back he's going to struggle when forwards run off him.

You've never been able to shove people in the back...

He is quite quick and he's got a good leap to make up for a lack of height.
But it is true that he was very good at working his opponent under the ball with a gentle nudge, so we'll see how well he can adjust.

Interesting comment by Eade at one point. Basically said Aker isn't there to kick bags of goals. He's there to kick the goals that nobody else except Aker could kick.

I think it's got to be Aker but that's because Aker has always been a better play than Mal and has always been able to turn a game by himself.

This is not to say Mal won't be good this year. It is laughable to suggest that not being to rest his hands on someone's back in a marking contest is going to finish his career.

As for forwards running off him, I would love to see the opposition's Full-Forward pushing up outside the forward line. Good luck to them kicking goals. Mal has the pace to o with Full-Forwards on the lead and that's all that matters at Full-Back.

Don't know.

Probably Aker but when it comes round 11 he will have 'pulled' his hamstring.
Mal will continue to live in the shadows of Dustin Flechter.
