Unfortunately that has been his best game for the year by some margin. He's still had a decent season (top 10 in the goalkicking, and would be top 5 if he could kick straight), but after that first game everyone had very, very high expectations for him.

You realise he's only 2 goals away from being top 5... He would be outright 2nd and competing for the coleman for the coleman if he kicked straight :(

My locks would be

Goldstein
Mitchell
Rance
Fyfe
Danger
Hanners
Gunston

Gunston is far from a lock. I'd also add Wingard and Kennedy to that list.

I'd say Kennedy is the only forward that is a lock. If Wingard has a quite final 3 games he could miss out to Betts, Gunston, Gray, Martin, Dangerfield, etc. for the other 5 forward spots.

Normally I'd agree with you, but I think there are a lot of players fighting for those remaining 5 forward spots. Wingard would be very unlucky to miss out, but big efforts by a number of those players, combined with limited output from Wingard could see him miss.

i would say Priddis is a lock and Brad Shepherd will make the squad of 40.

Granted this is a month old, but I don't see how Both Sandilands and Naitanui's H/O to advantage could have dropped below 35%, and both below Jacobs. Would be interesting to see where both sources got the stat from though, it annoys me that stats like this aren't more widely available.

That's only centre sqaure hit outs... Doesn't include stoppages from around the ground.

Ah, you've got me there, I didn't pick up on that. But I would also argue that not all hitouts to advantage are created equal. I doubt there's any way to prove it, but I watch most games every round, and I don't think there's any body who can compete with Naitanui, quality wise, for his hitouts to advantage. There's no other ruckman who can perfectly place/time a tap like Naitanui to land in the palms of a springing rover, as regularly as he does it. I can't even count how many times this season I've seen him smash a tap straight down Shuey's throat as Shuey sprints toward the forwards 50, only to goal within seconds or set up a mark inside 50. It's a thing of beauty.
