This whole indecision makes Gaff come off worse than North in my opinion - if he was so committed to WCE he would have re-signed straight away. If the Brayshaw incident and him missing the premiership were not factors (neither of which had anything to do with North), he would already be on the plane to Melbourne.

i dont feel any ill feelings towards Gaff, we did everything we could to get him but the plethora of crap that happened over the past month has changed the goal posts mentally for him.

I honestly believe if he never hit Brayshaw and won a GF the result would’ve been different, but eh, it is what it is...

If it was Cunners or BBB in Gaffs shoes we would be rejoicing too.

If I were a North supporter, I wouldn't be getting my knickers in a twist over Gaff knocking you back (even though it was some sort of weird backflip).

If you look at it realistically, big name highly paid players don't change clubs 'willy nilly', there are a lot of factors that come into play that normally make it hard for the player and the intended club to make it all work. There just aren't that many players of that calibre on the market every year either and you know that most clubs would be sniffing around those who are. Makes it hard to nail more than one per year down actually.

The fact that you have Polec ín the bag' is a great coup, getting Gaff as well would have been an incredible feat.
