Reviving an old thread that was deleted a couple of years ago.

Melbourne fans accused Swallow of not being able to kick etc.. Where Swallows disposal has improved out of sight, Jones now has those knocks of not being able kick over a jam tim.

I think he's taken his game to a whole other level, as evident by his game against St Kilda today.

Interesting to hear peoples thoughts :thumbsu:

There never was a Jones v Swallow thread, you're just making polls that you know the North player will win.

You need to stop being so obsessed with Melbourne and get a life :thumbsu: .

Drafted the same year

Both inside midfielders

Both similar amount of games played.

Both in sturggling sides (More so one, than the other).

just answer the poll please.

After one plays the best game of his career and one is out with an injury :D:D

You have one sick, sick obsession... anything to get you away from your irrelevant club.

swallow by a country mile that is fairly obvious

but both way better than dale thomas who was taken #2 in that draft

2009 Stats:

Andrew Swallow, 20 games, (Not including the St Kilda game):

Ranked 2nd in the league for total tackles.
Ranked 2nd in the league for total contested possessions.
Ranked 18th in total first possessions.
Top 40 for clearances per game.

Nathan Jones, 19 games:

No League high averages.

Yeah real fluke. :D

Nice injury excuse :o

See how no Melbourne supporters 'bumped' the thread when Swallow couldn't get a game last year?

Because we don't give a shit about you. Now run along.

Talk about giving a shit.

Swallow played one of the best games you will see from a young inside midfielder, against the best side in the competition.

What he did last year was irrelevant, atm he has taken his game to a new level.

How about you answer the question? instead of whinging like a cranky baby.

A cranky baby who realises his rebuild still has a few more years left....

Swallow easily.

3 times harder.

Mate Jones is much harder at it than Swallow.
However Swallow has had a much better season

Swallow is a great young player, it just amuses me that alot of roo fans have an obsession with the MFC. They're so desperate to try and prove that their kids are better you have to wonder where is inferiority complex comes from.

Perhaps it stems from the fact that Melbourne had to tank to let them beat us even though we had half our list out. Gotta feel sorry for the poor ol' roo boys :o

LOL, coming from the flog who has started about 100 threads this year trying to troll North. (With a 100% fail rate).
Go find one.

I might have cared about North early in the season, but now i really CGAF.

I did like that thread though where i made the predictions about what would happen this year between Melb and North... and i've been amazingly spot on so far.

I can see it now:

After starting off the 2009 season with a promising 29,000 members, the Kangaroos did nothing but disappoint, finished a lowly 12th. They did do a bit better then Melbourne though, who again finished last, collecting picks 1,2 and 18. This completes their stockpiling of talent and is often labeled the catalyst for their run of premierships in 2012-14.

The Kangaroos on the other hand started their rebuild and were unfortunate with the timing, only managing the 4th pick in the weak 2010 draft, even though they rack up their 14th Wooden Spoon in a history that can only be labeled as 'miserable'. Ofcourse they had only attracted 22,000 members this season, continuing their run as the most fickle fan base in the league. Pressure mounts as the West Sydney side comes in....

2011 and the Kangaroos can't even manage 20,000 members as even more of their notoriously fickle fanbase drop off. Record low crowds accross the season. Record losses. A season that not even Fitzroys 1996 can compare to. They fold at the end of the year.

Well there you have it, the future. As you can see the MFC and the KFC are really at contrasting points in our history. The former on the way up to a period of success that the latter could only dream of. The latter closing their doors forever...
I also predicted that Sylvia would be better than Wells before the end of their careers and have already been proven right.

Anyway this will be my last post in this thread because as i said, i really don't care about North.

The only thing accurate in that is that North would finish ahead of Melbourne.

You could make that prediction every year for a decade and most likely be right 9 times out of ten.

You have kept bringing that post up and bragging about it.

You predict we'll onlty get 22k members and finish last next season. Do you stand by that?

As regards Sylvia and Wrlls - Wells has been out with OP all year. Of course bloody Sylvia is going to play better than him.
