Anyone upset with todays draft?

Every year you hear about how every club is so happy with what they have picked up in the draft.

Is there or has there ever been a case where a team has publicly said that they're filthy with how things turned out?

There is a group of our supporters that felt we should have gone with Rance instead of Tarrant at 15. I can see the logic in what they say but our club has immediate and long-term deficiencies in key forward stock and I think just relying on later round picks is just rolling the dice a bit too much.

Hell, the rookie draft has been as profitable to us as anything else in recent years (Gibson, Lower, Firrito, Adams, Campbell etc.).

Presently am I happy? Not really.

BUT, pick up Gourdis, Gaertner, Hobbs and Dulic in the rookie draft and I will be doing cartwheels.

Port had two opportunities to pick up Levi Greenwood. I can accept them not using their first pick (16), but he was still there at 28 and we chose another Motlop. The Kangaroos may have found their next Glen Archer due to Port's foolishness.

Williams also said we beat Port to Trotter a few years ago and that we picked up the next James Hird.

Sometimes reality doesn't live up to fantasy but here is hoping you are right.

I was extremely happy with Rioli and was hoping Collier would be available with our pick 29.

I don't know much about Brendan Whitecross except that he's rated as the best Queenslander in this year's draft by one report.

Stuart Dew will be handy for some veteran experience as our team is very young.

Hardly upset, but mystified as to why they keep going for 180~ cm when they have heaps of them and in need of KP's esp a back.
