I do laugh at Port fans calling it 5DoubleCrow and the Crowvertiser etc when most Crows fans (and just about all on BF) would say that both of those outlets are biased towards Port. One is a sponsor of your club, and the other employs your No.1 troll.
In the Primus years it was probably the opposite to be fair

I think its naive to completely disregard McClures reporting on Betts as complete rubbish. Its been mentioned by Caro in The Age back in April. Imo he wouldn't suggest it if it wasn't 50% correct. Not on a topic as sensitive as this. Adelaide has good form with denying everything. The whole camp saga is just a complete embarrassment. Even if a majority enjoyed and benefited from it (unlikely) then its still a fail. Crows have been in damage control since the GF.

Seriously, did the AFC do that? I appreciate that you may not have hard evidence, but I would like to understand how you got to this conclusion.

What’s Ricciuto’s part in the decision making at AFC? It seems from the outside looking in that he is the one that basically rubber stamps anything going on. Does he have any credentials as a sports administrator, or in organisational management?

He's on the board and the chairman of the list committee. We have a CEO in Andrew Fagan who relies heavily upon Roo when it comes to football decisions because he has no real AFL experience. Roo has used that power to generally recommend the hiring of friends and former teammates in various positions around the club. One of the worst things he appears to have done was parachute a failed Brisbane fitness coach (and friend and former teammate) in Brett Burton into a general manager role in fitness ahead of our former fitness coordinator in Nick Polous, who then left to get a job with the English rugby team. Burton then got his underling from Brisbane (Matt Hass) hired as a strength and conditioning coach, then got promoted to Head of Football and instantly promoted his friend to his previous general manager of fitness position. Burton was then the one who brought in these Collective Mind people, while continuing to oversee a fitness program that had increasing numbers of soft tissue injuries.

Of course, this s**t was rife before Roo got in his position (and probably how he did), so it's not like he's done anything different than previous times at the club.

It is human nature for those that support the Crows to lay blame elsewhere like the thread starter of this thread and on the 1st page he was attacked simply because he started the thread, when that ship has sailed the anger turns to McClure and so and so on while ignoring the fact that maybe something just is not right at their club like discussion on their own board suggests, but on a public board it is the classic backs up " everyone is lying " trump card played.

Do people even realise that club board discussions are public also?

So in summary, we have 1) Ambassador and husband of AFC board Member, 2) Son of Ambassador and huge Crows fan, 3)Ambassador and former player, 4) Former player club captain and part time employee of the AFC, 5) 2 time Premiership Coach of the AFC and 6)former Port player Kane Cornes in the breakfast, drive and early evening slots, but 5AA is somehow pro Port Adelaide. Not that this is news, but I think Roo has a lot to answer for here.

The problems started way before the GF and camp.

I think the Cameron deflection is the most telling piece of information in gaining an insight into how toxic the off field set up is at the crows.

Going back a few years, Crows had hired the son of a shamed board member as their new list manager (Reid). As I understand it, Reid is also a close friend of Roo who played a key role in his appointment. The first real high profile action Reid took in the role was leveraging info he had on a former client from his previous employment as a player manager, (conflict of interest?) and threw that players current club under the bus in the pursuit to land said player at the crows.

Whilst doing so Reid left a trail of incompetence in his wake, in an amongst all of this, he tried moving a contracted, young gun in Cameron to a club he didn’t want to go to (Carlton)

The manner at which Reid pursued his man not only broke unwritten rules between clubs when it comes to trading, but he also riled up the Cameron camp so badly that they no longer had a workable relationship with the club.

This incompetence was on display for all to see, but the club, effectively run by roo took no issue with his mates actions.

This level of incompetence doesn’t go unnoticed by player managers etc. it doesn’t suprise me that an exodus is very much on the cards.

They have a vested interest in denying it (unlike McClure, who has no vested interest in the success or failure of the AFC either way). The only way they’re made to look foolish is if there are no trade talks involving McGovern in the offseason and both he and Betts line up for Adelaide in 2019.

Their list profile doesn't look great - they remind me a bit of Fremantle in 2016. We had alot of good players at the top end but our bottom end depth completely dropped out and we were in a rebuild half way through the season.

They are just in the crosshairs of the media because of a perfect storm of injuries, a couple of poor results, star player contracts in limbo, the merry go round of whether they are under reporting injuries, a bad GF loss.

A couple of wins and it will be someone elses turn.

He "broke" the story about McGovern wanting out, and the one about Eddie being traumatised. McGovern's agent and Betts himself have denied both stories.

Apart from the fact they lost a game on the weekend they weren't expected to lose, even with their lengthy injury list, those are the only two other "facts" being linked to this so-called crisis. So has McClure just come up with it for the sake of a story?

The Betts story has been running for months in SA. Even the Crows Ambassadors who work in the media have given it substance. Rowe and Bickley stated the other night that it was serious enough for Eddie to question being at the club. Another Crows Ambassador Graham Cornes was on the show with them and essentially his take on it was Eddie had to harden the * up.

Sam Jacobs and Curtly Hampton were also named as players negetively affected by the cult camp.
