Yep fitting tribute for Pavlich. Played the game how we would all like to. Someone to respect and admire.
A true great of the game. Up with Nick Riewoldt, Buddy and Scarlett as one of the best KPPs of the last 10 years.

can't quite buy into the huge plaudits for pavlich - not sure why - some players just don't make that connection with me - could play a bit
Any player who is named as an All Australian at Full Back, Full Forward, CHF and as a utility midfielder on the bench over his career is a fair player.
I am here to educate, so don't shoot the messenger! You won more games than we did last season because of two reasons: Your soft draw, and our injuries.
In 2015 we had injuries to most of our midfield: Watson played 11 games, Colyer 11, Hocking 5, Myers 2, Zaharakis 16 but was obviously playing injured in a few games too. We also didn't have Leuenberger, Parish, Tippa etc. and Fantasia hadn't got going yet with only 5 games played.
Missing from our best 22/25 players from Saturday's game: Watson, Heppell, Hooker, Hurley, Baguley, Fantasia, Colyer, Stanton, Myers, Hocking, and out comes kommer, mckernan, long, dempsey, j.merrett, ambrose, bird, mckenna *dea kelly.

No it doesn't help, sounds like you are making excuses. The Injury Gods have not exactly been benevolent with our club for over a decade.
You don't get to count the suspended drug cheats as missing players this year, they are not on your list, therefore not available for selection. If you get to count players no longer on your list, we are missing Betts, Kennedy, Robinson, Hampson, Grigg, Laidler, Garlett, Bell, Waite etc. from our potential best 22/25. We were also missing Murphy, both Curnows, Byrne, Walker, Jamison .... you get the picture.

1 Soft draw. We didn't actually win any of our return games so it wouldn't have mattered who we played twice as we still would have won 7 games.
2 Injuries -Everyone gets injuries. It's part of the game so stop sooking. Otherwise we might confuse you with a Collingwood supporter talking up what might have been.

Fair point, let's forget about the players that are suspended for a minute. We beat you comfortably with a team consisting of players like Kommer, Dempsey and top ups. My condolences.

That was the thing about Pavlich - did what was asked of him by different coaches circumstances etc as had a bag of qualities : big body big skills big mental strength it is just a shame the ,,Freo system has been so flawed for so long.
And still finished with the wooden spoon. This will always be remembered as James Hird's legacy to his club. Thank goodness everyone stood by Hird.
