Probably not the next Judd, but a gun none the less.

Has to be the steal of the 2010 draft. Love the way he takes the game on, breaks tackles. With 2 or 3 more preseaons he will be unstoppable.

I think North fans on bigfooty tend to overrate some of our kids, but I am staggered at how under rated Atley is.

Conca plays higher up the ground whereas Atley plays more of a lockdown role

The stats would bare that out:

Conca: 16.4 disp, 5.3 CP, 1.8 CL, 0.9 1%, 2.0 T

Atley: 14.7 disp, 4.8 CP, 1.1 CL, 1.4 1%, 2.5 T

Both will be excellent players.

Yes, but Conca is better overhead.

They really play different roles. Conca is a better comparison for half back/mids such as Heppell, whereas Atley plays more as a pure defender.

Not sure where you're getting your stats from but the AFL website has Conca's and Atleys 2012 averages as this.

Shaun Atley, because Chris Judd's career will be almost as good as his.

Seriously though, Conca has showed more so far in his career, but I believe was more ready made for AFL and has played 6? more games then Atley. So that's to be expected.

Both will be good for their respective teams in the future. I'm happy with Atley (at pick 18) and I'm sure Richmond supporters will be very happy with Conca at 6.

I think you'll find that he is referring to the fact that Atley has been playing as a defender this year. But you would have known that if you had watched some football instead of believing what DT/Supercoach tells you.

Both are 19 years old and have barely played 20 games. I think i will reserve any judgment of who is better until they have both played at least 50 games.
