Also out of the 667000 overseas migration figures in the 2023-24 year you fail to look at the numbers outside of some arbitrary 'scary' number.
Not only that, but it is important to note that the number includes:
- permanent visas 91k
-Aus citizens 60k
-NZ citizens 51k
- Overseas students 207k
- Visitors 90k
- Working holiday makers 60k
- Temporary skilled visas 49k
Edit: on the dwelling figure your argument about families is an interesting case in point. I would suggest families are less likely to live in a multi generational dwelling and the I'd also argue that the concept of having siblings share rooms is less likely to occur these days.
