If you went yesterday you should have know Nazis were either the organisers, co opting or crashing and thus not gone.

If by some miracle of modern invention you werent aware that Nazis were either the organisers, co opting or crashing then you should have left or opposed them immediately.

This is one of those "the standard you walk past situations" to me.

I said it earlier but if your march/rally/event/protest is closely aligned enough for Nazis to take credit for it and come speak at it then guys, thats a Nazi march youre in.

That says to me, that you see Jan and Joe public (the dumb gullible ones, that attended) aren't dumb or gullible at all. You see them as nazi sympathizers.

Im not a huge fan of labelling all people who do a thing something but at a point you kind of have to.

IMO Jan and Joe public dont really go to rallies for anything, so if theyve made the decision to venture into the city for the "March for Australia" MAYBE i can believe they didnt know it was a Neo Nazi backed event, MAYBE (its a stretch given how much media and social media noise there was about it).

If they stayed for the event and watched the speeches and such then yeh, what else can you call them?

IMO you'd have to have been living on another planet for the last decade NOT to have realised that this march was going to be used as a platform for rwnjs, sovcits and nazi groups. And once you were there, the upside down flags and red ensigns, let alone the masks and blackshirts would have made it painfully obvious at what you were a part of.

I am non Anglo white European Australian.

I watched a lot of the speeches yesterday, most speakers made it clear they wanted a primarily Anglo/British Australia. Most white nationalists said this. They said that to be called “Australian” you had to be of white British descent.

The White Australia Policy was in reality the British Australia Policy, language being used to keep a lot of non British European migrants out. This made clear by all the founders and early politicians, stating Australia was the nation of white British people in the South Pacific.

I suspect some of the southern European migrants who copped abuse and bullying after arrival decided the way to assimilate was to join in with the Anglo nationalists and abuse the next generation of migrants to arrive, Asians. On the contrary I’ve also seen southern European migrants who have become very supportive of multiculturalism and anti-racism, so their experience led them to a more enlightened thinking.

I saw some snippets of the speeches given at the Sydney one on the news.

The neo nazis were given a free reign and other than some mild resistance from a few boomers they were loudly applauded.

The husband of the organizer was also banging on about Anglo Celtic culture that's being diluted and foreign faces in the neighborhoods we grew up in. The usual racist discourse that's been going on here for decades now.

It's clear as day this event had nothing to do with housing but was purely about race.

It’s the playbook. Start with an idea that has some legitimacy and is not inherently offensive.

“Mass immigration is impacting housing affordability and cost of living.”

Then sprinkle in something that tests the waters a bit.

“Australian culture is being eroded” the sub text of course is that it is Asian and African immigration, not European that’s supposedly causing it.

Then, once they’ve got their crowd and people behind them, they reveal their true selves. And despite the arrests and bad publicity, they would have grown in numbers because of yesterday.

The leftist Jewish Council of Australia put out a statement condemning the rally, i can’t see any other groups that have done similar.
