Could it be that you've just never felt strongly enough about an issue to get out on the streets? That's not a dig by the way - levels of care vary sharply from person to person.

I think it's a key part of how our sense of politics and social right/wrong form. Our innate sense of (or lack of) care of those beyond ourselves.

To be fair I just do my bit every few years by voting, I don't agree with the protestors and what they believe in today, but it is what it is, if they want to protest I say go for their lives, doesn't change anything for me.

I genuinely can't say I've ever had time to go out and protest, I've got other things to worry about at the end of the day.
