Am I the only one who really loved the back-ended action yesterday? Something about having a bunch of matches running late into the night was really enjoyable.

My most memorable moments being at the AO are at night time. I'm surprised more matches aren't scheduled to start after 6pm. Better weather conditions nearly all the time and a great atmosphere.

BTW, if Kyrgios maintains his current ranking, would he be able to qualify for the next grand slam (French Open)??

It won't be enough unfortunately to get direct entry to Roland Garros.

His ranking will probably go up by about 15 places after his performance at the Australian Open.

Unfortunately he has a fair few ranking points to defend over the next few months (150 points in total)

Thank being said even if he can't get his ranking up into the top 100 by the French open (I think this is pretty unlikely), I still think he would nearly be a lock to get the Australian Wildcard into the French open.

Needed to get to QF to auto qualify for a major. He has gone up 21 places from 183 to 162.

Points available: 1st (10), 2nd (45), 3rd (90), 4th (180), QF (360), SF (720), F (1200), W (2000)

Come on Daniela. Problem is she is really skinny were Serena is really strong and she has a big frame. She will be overpowered by Serena.

Serena's struggling, maybe because of the heat, but knowing Hantuchova I have 0 confidence she's going to take any of her opportunities.

Had to laugh at Stubbsy's, "Hantuchova's one that you don't want to give opportunities to, because she knows how to take them and how to win big matches."

Jesus, that's something I would expect Chris Evert to say.

Hamish gave his best impression of Robin Williams and I don't think I'll ever forget that, unfortunately.

After a dodgy first 3 days at the AO, I thought yesterday was amazing. Having 4 5 set mens matches going at midnight was god-like, especially given it contained upsets against Del Po and Verdasco, more Simon heroics, and that Kyrgios-Paire match which really had it all.

Looking forward to Ferrer-Chardy, should go down to the wire I think.

Worth posting again.

Have watched it about 100 times already. Love it!! People are starting to call him arrogant and up himself and comparing him to Tomic's attitude. He's nothing like Tomic. It's just that Nick feeds off the energy of the crowd that's all. He's awesome. You can tell that he really appreciate us (the fans) as he even thanked the support he received last night!!

What do you guys reckon schedule-wise will they take a similar approach to yesterday? suspend a few hours this arvo then just kick on late into the night again?

Hopefully! It's better for the players and the fans.
