Went out after the first set, but it doesn't seem surprising what's happened. Gavrilova has been playing on pure adrenaline for the past two or three matches, and doesn't have much to her when consistent pressure is mounted. Its fine because she's young, but CSN played her perfectly. You could see after the first set that she wasn't visibly annoyed with herself. She obviously knew the first set would be energy charged, and that Dasha gets very excited when she breaks, so why not tire out someone who didn't expect to get this far? I doubt she wanted to go down 6-0, but have no doubt she knew that staying calm and waiting for Dasha to exhaust herself and make mistakes would pay dividends. Disappointed the Aussie isn't through, but kudos to her for an incredibly composed victory.

Daria was unlucky, but she looked spent. She looked exhausted at training today. Always thought if she were to win, she had to do it in straight sets, the last match took a lot out of her physically.

Djokovic over the last 12-18 months has been as good as Federer has produced. Fed won't be getting another Slam, Novak could be very close to Fed's figure.

Amazes me that anyone can find Federer arrogant. Apparently one of the nicest sportspeople off court anywhere in the world (so is Novak). At this stage of his career, when Djokovic/Murray are peaking and he's 34 - he needs to believe in himself more than he did.

Federer's best is better than Djokovic's, I'm not sure how that can be disputed.
