Well done to both players. I'm not completely sold on Chung, but he's having a great tournament and he looks like a top 10 fixture. Also Sandgren. A tennis journeyman, he's played the tournament of his career. Nice to see the crowd applauding him off. That some people want to rain on his parade is pathetic.

Sandgren is out of gas. Still, a career-defining run and one of the most unlikely quarter-finalists in recent years.

Chung v Tomas/Fed, prime time Friday night into Korea. Could be fairly big for tennis overall. We are so so lucky to have a grand slam in our country. Korea only gets 1 WTA international and an ATP Challenger.

I’m surprised Sandgren was as competitive as he was, thought he used all his petrol tickets getting over Theim as he looked done by the end of that match. An amazing run nevertheless and with my penchant for journeymen he is definitely one I will be following from now on.
