Commentators started talking about Dogopolov's pedigree.

Its over they're going the "yeah he lost but he was brave against quality" route.

Let's see how McDonald does this.

Well, late night coming up for Dasha and Elise.

Reason why i like the girls to start the night but NBD
I dont think I will stay up to watch Dasha v Mertens lol I thought Dimitrov would've won in straight sets!

Rather have the better match on first, in this case it was the mens.

Nah I reckon the women's match should be first. The entree to the mains where sometimes the entree could be better.

I thought the Grigor match would have been a thrashing while the Dasha game would have been a ripping contest.

I reckon they(AU/7) thought that too. Nick and Grigor both finish at the same time and hence the Aussie TV audience would shift from seamlessly from one match to the next.

What were the odds before this match? Must have been $1.05 Dimitrov v $10 McDonald territory?

Fantastic achievement by McDonald.
Looking at his playing history it looks like he just played some random Challenger event in Adelaide, then straight to Aust Open via qualifiers.
Mainly just plays USA circuit tours and has attempted to qualifying at Wimbledon but no luck. Crazy but awesome!

As soon as the Dimitrov match is done, Dasha will be faced with this.......

Is there a cut off for how late a match can start? Can't remember if they introduced it after the Hewitt Baggy match that time.

How did he do that?

I don't think so.

I remember the US Open had some matches starting near 12 am last year. A couple of years ago, Kuznetsova played someone over 3 sets with a very late start.
