Feels like this is airing a bit later than normal this year, it starts Monday February 23.

4 returnees plus newbies. A bit of a weird structure. Maybe the leftovers from the people they wanted to cast for Australia v World but couldn't.

After watching every season it is a big test of survivor going forward this year. JLP > Golden God as host for Australian Survivor. Mr Beast appearing on Survivor 50 after 10 pretty average seasons. I think both versions need to deliver for me to keep watching them.

At the end of the day it's the contestants that are playing. It sucks not having JLP but Dave should be given a chance. But his host outfit is already too formal. Needs the shorts and boots.

Let's be honest, as long as we hear they are whacking their poles and busting nut after nut we will all be satisfied as viewers

Apparently Dave as host is part of a soft reboot of the show, so will be interested to see what the format of this season is actually like. Last few Aus seasons have been very good for mine so hopefully they don't change too much.

I am all but finished with US Survivor, the last season I struggled through was S44 won by Jam Jam (Yam Yam?) and it was awful, then I nearly smashed the tele watching the first ep or two of S45 it was so so bad, Aust Survivor on the other hand has been okay, to many idols for mine but still far better than the US version, that said with JLP replaced I am a little skeptical about this season, I will def give it a chance though.

Nah! They sent out a bunch of emails to survivor fans for an early preview!

It’s so good! The season is going to be amazing and as a GG sceptic…. We have nothing to worry about lol. He may not be JLP but he’s a damn good host

GG’s voiceover is a bit shaky but he’s doing well in his chat to the players.

I'm willing to give it a chace, minimal returning players and 1 of them being a gimp in Simon is also great...plenty of new faces.
