Away game membership question

Question is who pays if you attend a match as an away game member (eg replacement game or say 18 game membership)? Does your club pay the home team and is that payment dependent on how many away club members attend or is it a flat amount on projected attendance?

Reasoning ask is a friend has both afl and club membership but if club has to pay another club he would rather use afl membership.

I believe that the away team pays a set amount for each away member that attends. Buggered if I can find anywhere that this is put in writing, though.
