He coaches the school team, so i guess his just coming down for a kick.

Maybe trying to do another Nick Holland (C section - circa 2007). Signing on before the deadline, sneaking into a well positioned side with a view to pinching a premiership medallion, then retiring once again?

If so, a bit ordinary I reckon.

Agree Scribe, not good for the long term culture of a club. We need to find out who the bloke is who will miss out for these recruits and get them to SKOB or Fitzroy.

Kenny Fletcher was spotted doing some light work at Keilor Hill on Tuesday night, so anything is possible.

Hopefully he still has his mo....there is a tragic lack of them doing the rounds in Premier B.

Tips for the week:

Hampton to beat Essendon....everybody does.
Bloods to bury High......High while spirited are the least talented B section team for 5 years based upon the 2 games I have seen.
Carey to squash Blacks....They are on fire!!
SKOB to account for IO....Im a SKOB supporter.
Bernards to get over Oak....Very very close game.

Doubt OC would be where they are now without Kanga's old mate.

I think this post is a little ord Scribe. I know Big Nick. Trying to sneak a personal medal was the last thing on his mind. Helping his mate/coach and a bunch of guys try and win a flag and go up a grade was up there though. Personal glory, thats a laugh.
Re King, havent seen him, but i reckon he may be a touch old and slow. When did he retire? Might be a good bloke to have around the club, help with training, been there done that etc, but not sure he will get a gig. But if he's super fit, a few inj's come OC way then you never know. May be worth a bench, pinch hit up forward. Would certainly make opposition wary of where he is and what he's doing.

Heard young Nick Holland is assistant coach at UBlues this year!!!

Couldn't make it down to OC?

That was a bit under the belt Scribe! Ryan Crozier will add a dimension if true. He was a man mountain at EB, and i think went down with a knee early last year? Anyhow,

I'm not surprised he is moving over - the brothers want to play together and their dad will be pretty happy about it too. Nice on the eyes too :thumbsu:

I may still have unresolved issues re: rd 15 2007 when Dutchy jagged 8 goals at BSO in his 2nd game after kicking 1.8 the week before. :D He certainly had his radar tuned after blowing out the cobwebs and added to Fitzroy's misery as we slid out of C and into D1.

I hear Nick's a great fella and as a Hawks' supporter since 1981 I'm a fan of his work. Just wasn't that day, and figured he could've stuck around for B section 2008 to show his involvement was a little more long-term.

The deadline is there for a reason, and several clubs managed to secure a gun or two who relocate from the bush or cross back from a rival league in time to help out the last 1/2 of the season. It's within the rules obviously, I just feel for the 1st emergency in a GF side who has trained his ar$e off since November but misses out because someone from a far higher level lobs up in July and starts playing when the going gets good.

Obviously in Carey's case, they probably wouldn't have got into a GF without Nick playing, but I trust you get my point.

Anyhow, onto this weekend.
