Bad luck!

Bad luck yesterday, but well done on a gutsy effort. To come back after the first quarter and to outscore us was a very good effort. Hold your heads up high. The season isn't over yet. Sure you have an old team, all is not lost. Teams in the past have had bad starts to the season and ended up making the finals. I think Adelaide will still make the finals from here.

Thanks, but it is little consolation, as I think the Lions took the foot off the accelerator once setting up a match-winning lead in the 1st quarter. Just when we looked like getting back into the game (I think the margin was 20pts), Leigh moves Voss on the ball & Notting to a wing - bang 2 quick goals later & the game is put beyond doubt. The Lions are a classy outfit, but we are srtuggling badly. The margin flattered us yesterday.

Luck never really played a part.
If they come out like that after watching motivational videos I shudder to think what they will be shown next week.
