Ballantyne or Rioli

Interesting take. Can't say I disagree. Still think Rioli is a better player at the moment though.

As for the OP, Rioli for mine please. Better defensive pressure and impacts the scoreboard more. IF he can keep his body right, he should be able to replicate some of this through the midfield.

Went Rioli, plus Ballantyne comes off as a complete tool. Either way, Rioli by a mile.

On output they have been similar so far but that's mainly because injuries have held back Rioli so far. Rioli's best is a lot better than Ballantyne and coming off a good pre-season you would expect he will improve again. Ballantyne is a good small forward, who is a good threat around goals and harasses defenders really well but Cyril does the same but with classier disposal and decision making. However if Ballantyne really does move into the midfield I may have to re-assess depending on how he goes.

At this stage, Rioli, but I think it's closer than some believe it to be - and I expect both will have excellent years (and an injury along the way).
