Who is batman who is robin, dunno, but one game together and 6 goals 8 with both underdone against the premiers, future looks good

Was going to post the link in the buddy thread but this is a thread to celebrate the forwards we cop the most crap for getting. Lets hope theres some good times ahead for these two

How did everyone think they worked in tandem, kurt says they will get better, i thought the set up functioned better than i expected in terms of leading and space

You know the most pleasing thing is and what surprised me the most? it was the first game they have played together and i don't think ONCE did they all try and jump for the one ball.

There was just that one ball that came in and Tippett decided not to jump, leaving it for Buddy who was well covered.

Gives me goose bumps just thinking about how good our forward line is going to be. Friday night was just a taste of what is going to be one of the dominant forward combinations ever.
For me Tippett is batman. He is a contested marking beast and has a fantastic conversion rate since coming to the bloods. I think our game plan suits him better and Buddy is icing on the cake. He will compliment Tippo very well but his natural freakish abilities will will allow him to kick bags aswell.

Ahhh theres those goose bumps again!

Is pretty pleasing. Compare that to Merrett and Brown in Brisbane who have been playing together for years an still run to the same spot as each other.

the most pleasing thing was, as you said, they kept out of each others way, and they way we were able to create enough space for them both to get multiple one on ones was great. I thought Reid did well, played LRT kinda role, a bit of everything. Does not bode well for LRT.

Yeah I was worried for a sec they were going to knock each other out haha.

Guys,

It seemed that the game plan was actually designed for two competitive beasts like Tippett & Franklin.

Tippett to monster the Full Backs with his height, strength & jump, whereas Buddy will do the damage on the lead, roaming around the forward line & having pot shots & putting the ball into the square from well outside of the 50m arc.

With Goodes & Reid also man beasts who are more agile & have great running abilities, all bodes well.

Now with some luck, we can afford to rest one of these guys every so often with either a smaller type like B.Jack or O'Keefe or coveresly, with LRT.

If we can also rotate the McGlynn's & Parkers of this world through the midfield.. I will get VIAGRA excited.... Hang on.. WE CAN.... WOOOHOOOO

His conversion rate has gone up because he is playing a full forward role. At the crows he used to push up high then come find space and often leading towards boundary. He stays closer to home with us. If love to see a shot chart of him at crows and at sydney, he seems to take very shot within 35 m at the moment

Our forward line, when all on the ground, is beautiful.

Tippett is the key. He's huge, never drops a mark and is a nightmare one on one.

Franklin is the perfect partner in crime. He compliments big Kurt's game perfectly due to the magic he can create and his extreme athleticism. Simply put, you can't stop them both.

Then you have Sam Reid. Still growing and now we have the luxury of playing him as a swing man or pinch-hitting in the ruck.

Keep these guys playing at least 60% of their games together and we'll be a very scary proposition.
