Your overating of your players is cringe worthy. Big deal if I spell Mcmahans name wrong. I have no bias towards Jacobs but I do know he would be a welcome addition to Norths best 22.

I certainly hope your tune doesnt change once he is drafted to North. Very good player who battled glanduler fever in his first year. Would and will be a welcome addition to a side that needs players with good foot skills something Jacobs has.

It's pretty obvious he's coming to North. If my tune was going to change, it would've already.

How can you call him a 'very good player'? He's been anything but that. As for his footskills, this is from the 2012 AFL Prospectus (sorry for any North posters who've seen me post this in the other thread):

'Jacobs finished with the third-worst kick rating of any general defender - an area in which he excelled as a junior. Even when he was under no pressure he struggled, hitting the target by foot 43% of the time - the lowest percentage of all midfielders and defenders at the club.'

He plays like someone who doesn't want to be out there.

Some of the dick waving in this thread is embarrassing to read, I am embarrassed for you.

Jacobs is a good prospect, our club just didn't think he was worthy of pick 15 and that is a fair opinion. I still have doubts he will be there at our pick but it doesn't matter where he goes, he will be a pretty good get with a mid table second round pick.

It is just a shame it had to come to this, him having to go into the draft.

I'm surprised everyone's not turning in their top 40 selections to have a crack at this PSD quality player bonanza.

It makes even less sense when you consider the fact that clubs have been able to sign delisted players for weeks. If they were any good there would've been multiple clubs interested and a deal would've been struck already.

Who is going to be the better player:- Jacobs or our PSD pick?
At the end of their careers this question will be more clearly defined but at this stage it's just a case of offended by many north supporters as we wouldn't cave in to what you wanted. It's time to get over it, Port supporters are happy that he's gone and you should be happy that you'll get him for a pick in the 30's

North might not 'win' the deal, Essendon might not 'win', St Kilda might not 'win' but I'll give any Port supporters who don't seem to have grasped this a bit of advice for nothing:

Not taking market price (pick in the 30s or 40s), and ending up instead with PSD pick 4, is not a win - in any way, shape, or form.
It's a fool's position to argue.
