I knew that!

If they think its good now they aint seen nothing yet.

Once Benny comes back and the bookends ( Goodwin and Reilly ) hit thier straps there will be no stopping us. Both good defensive half backline players that shore-up the spine of our new gameplan.

Throw in the pace and creative run by Mattner and Stiffy into, and out of the middle, I must say Im starting to salivate agin. :)

Kenny may not poll many Brownlow votes but he is our strength!! Id rather Kenny than Pav - Give me solid and reliable before flashy and solid.

Rutten looks born again under Bassets tutorlidge.
Whoever said Rutten was slow and has the turning circle of the queen mary was spot on ( me included ;) ) but I like his reading of the ball and confidence.

Welcome back Torney too -Good ol South come to the rescue all the time. Theres a tiny bit of Nigel Smarts run in his game dont you think

Your right on the money there mate, our defence has been unbelievable this year, hope it keeps up and like you say once Hart come back into the fray it's only going to get better.

TJ have you got any figures to show us???

Even i admit without B.Hart in the back half we look like an ordinary back line on paper, but somehow the experience and the younger felas are combining well and lets hope that continues.

I can't sing the praises of Freddy Bassett enough - once again.

According to Prowess Pro-Stats he is currently seventh in the league for spoils behind the likes of Michael, Harris, L. Brown, D. Wakelin, Fletcher and Leppitsch - all much bigger men and pure KPPs, half of whom are past All-Australians.

I can't believe he's still so underrated.

So true DT - I reckon his leadership in the back half has been great too & more important given Hart's injury & Smart's retirement. Also, the return of JT has been critical too.

Lets not forget Hentschel too.
A deflated boy after his debut and missess on goal that your grandmother could have kicked.
Now his confidence and no nonsense style is helping the run generation.
Hes not bad through traffic and is not scared to back himself.
