Lethal's lazy 14 goals while playing on the ball  Killed it some say the best ever performance of one player

you can't even get that right...

I remember Peter Sumich killing Essendon one day at the MCG.

The best individual game of his career, was amazing that day kicked 13.12
or some thing like that.

Ended up with 25 possesions from full foward.

Had a chance to of kicked 20, if he could kick straight.

I remember that :(

It has been mentioned a couple of times already and they are right. Kouta in the 99 Prelim against the filfth. He did everything bar drive the team bus that day. And in the last quarter he had a superman cape on.

In 99 he was unstoppable. Leigh Mathews said that Kouta was the most destructive player he has ever seen. Pagan, after North were violated by the Kouta in '99 said that they need a bazooka to stop him. Simply unstoppable until he was cruelled by the 2 severe knee injuries.

Remember a game at Optus against the Eagles where he had 18 marks or something and the Blues won by a point.....was incredible that day too

13.7 and 2 or 3 OOB against WB. He kicked 7.3 in the 3rd quarter had the ball on a string. At the WACA.

A little bit of love for Bunghole Dunstall's 10 goals against Melbourne in the Merger Match in round 22, 1996. He was basically our sole reliable forward (Holland was a second year player from memory). Brought up his 100th goal for the season that night and we won by a point. Neitz also had a night out that night too, from memory.

Modras 10 vs North Melbourne in 93 really pulled them over the line I thought. He kicked three in three minutes in the third to get them back into the game and they ended up winning by less than a kick.

Tredrea vs Richmond last year is another.

This isnt quite right. He took the mark of the year in the third when he kicked his 7th. Then North Melbourne kicked away late in the third.

In the last quarter Mods kicked three very quick golas to get us over the line by two points.

The game against Fitzroy in round 3 1993 was a umbelieval game when we ended up winning by a point after Pitto hit the post. That comeback was due to an amzing three minutes in the third by Mods where he took three stunning marks and kicked three goals for the quarter on Zanotti. That was a great game.

Hopefully it hasn't already been said but Peter Matera's 5 goals from a wing to come from behind to win the 1992 flag, specially the running goal he kicked from just outside 50 from a bit if a angle to give the WCE the lead in the 3rd qtr

Where are you getting this from? Sumich kicked 13.3 against the Dogs and 11.8 against Essendon.

Pffft, Leigh Matthews 14 goals from the middle. "Some say the best ever performance of one player". Bollocks. Some say you are full of shit.

For the record, a midfield/forward did kick 14 goals in a game playing largely on the wing; starts with A and ends with blett.

Michael Gardiner v Geelong in rd 14 09 was pretty valuable. I'll second the Stoneham reference too.

Add that to his Elimination final in 2007 on one leg.
Meh the Rnd 21 game wasn't nearly as good, he was being tagged by Sam Power apparently. The final though was incredible as was Buddy that night. I really don't think Morris and Lake did too much wrong, Buddy was just amazing crumbing goals from 55m.

Got the years mixed up, mate.

Doggies were already on holidays by the time Hodge and co rolled into the Telstra Dome in round 21, 2007. From memory, that was the game that Franklin kicked 2.11 - if he had his kicking boots with him, the 60+ margin would have been much uglier for the Dogs.

A couple of weeks later, Hodge fired a comeback from the Hawks which resulted in Franklin's seventh goal for the game sealing the win over Adelaide in the 2007 elimination final (played on a Saturday afternoon). You're thinking of the 2008 qualifying final (played on a Friday night).

Here here to AG's suggestion. "It's highway robbery!", thanks Rex.

Another top one i've been lucky enough to see live is Richo demolishing my boys in '04. Kicked 7 of Richmond's 10 goals, had a hand in at least 2 of the 3 he didnt kick and single handedly beat Sydney (13 points was final margin). This was on a wet, rainy day at the SCG as well.
