20k, Its 40k between both teams I'm pretty sure, otherwise the math doesn't add upWell Geelong has about 70k members. I spoke to the membership over the phone and they said about 30k are priority 3. So 40k members split between priority 1 and 2
Regardless, it looks as though Geelong AFL memberships are no longer on sale. Just AFLW.Considering whether it’s worth purchasing a membership ($160) this late for the sole purpose of getting a GF ticket should my team compete.
Any help/experience appreciated!
Thank you![]()

Ring up the interstate clubs not participating in the week of the game and see if they have any remaining allocation to sell. In the past ive got some tickets on the cheap this way.Hey guys,
I've never been to a Grand Final before and also never had a membership. I understand it is very hard to secure a ticket without being one. Is it possible to become a member this late and get at least Priority 2 access to buy GF tickets?
I know there is a public reserve sale, but from my understanding it is very unlikely to secure a ticket this way and also most likely to get quite an average seat...
What other options do I have?
Buy off a scalper?
Can you queue up outside a ticketing agency and purchase tickets in person?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
We got standing room at back of M50 for the 2015 GF. Got in early to get the front step. Seats directly in front of us were those AFL packages. The guy in front of us wasn't happyJust out of curiosity, what kind of seats do you get for those packages?
Probably a $2k difference for the seat and a breakfast.Back your team as early as you can to make the GF.. $100 investment will go long way to cover ticket costSelf insurance.
Put aside some money (say $100-200) each year so that when that lucky day comes around that your team is in the Grand Final that you have the lump sum available to pay the AFL's extortionate price for a ticket package.
Just to be on the safe side you should start twenty years ago...
