It's as simple as it being the off-season for most stuff. Should pick up with G1 racing and the NRL in about a month.

With SB, did they put you back to full promos automatically or did you ask them to have a look at it?
just happened automatically. they either saw I was doing normal bets or they realised my turnover had dropped way off when I stopped using them in protest.

Bitwinning update from me,

i got the 100 bonus won on that same with my 100 cash got account up to 650 withdrew 500 today no issues
sounds pretty hit n miss. too many negative experiences to take a gamble just for a one off bonus & no ongoing promos.

do all these sportsbook skins require any actual input from the owners or are they essentially just plug and play?

because if there arent any hurdles to create these its just going to encourage wave after wave of shady sites.

They are all actually reasonably heavily regulated and it’s a pretty long process to get one online. That of course doesn’t stop some having some fairly dodgy practices. The vast majority of them are current/former on course bookies. Some are can be pretty involved and some do nothing more than marketing.

I have no real issue with promo banning overall. If you deposit $100, have 5 $20 bets, get $95 in returns and withdraw that, both customer and bookmaker have effectively lost money. If you are a QLD customer for example, throw a losing $100 bonus bet on top of that, now the customer has lost $5 and the bookmaker around $20. It’s just not sustainable. Not accepting genuine cash bets for a reasonable amount is a much bigger issue for mine.

Did they offer you the deposit bonus or did you have to hit them up in the chat first?
I hit them up on chat. They said to contact them again after making the deposit and they would add the $100 bonus, which they did.

Realbookie Superbowl promo.... err, is it supposed to be $50 or $100 back?

There are different tiers you can choose from depending on how much control you want.

They're all pretty terrible for the industry and just taking advantage of complete degenerates who are self excluded everywhere else. It can't last forever

Yeah, there is over 100 online bookmakers in Australia, which seems obscene.
Looking back there have always been a lot more than 100 on course bookmakers, they’ve just migrated from the track to online. Personally I think the industry is better off with as many operators and competition as possible.

Having said that, there are some that have some pretty questionable policies/operations, and no doubt a good number of them won’t survive long term.

The odds I am seeing of late in terms of greyhound racing are obscene. Just not even worth betting into. Competition doesn't seem to be working in that regard.

100+ online bookmakers is totally outrageous, and as others have said, their target audience is clearly the problem gamblers who have self excluded from the main bookies.

I dont have any time for them to be honest. Hit em up for a bonus and then get out of town.

There have always been 100+ bookmakers. I’m not sure why a bookmaker shouldn’t be able to shift their business from on course to online. I’m not really sure how you can complain about percentages being higher in the same post talk about hitting them up for bonuses. Bonus bets, race fields fees and POC have all been introduced and percentages have increased in line.

The great thing still is you don’t think the price is value, don’t back it. And if you do like the price, you now have about 100 options where you can get set.

It’s obviously a bad thing, but every bookmaker targets problem gamblers. Sportsbet and Ladbrokes are the best at it. It should be regulated as much as possible, and definitely more than it is now, but there is a reality that if you want to be a winning punter, that requires other punters out to lose.

I don't think having 30+ betmaker skins is good for anyone except racing pros/bonus bettors, the product is garbage.

The track bookies are just running their on course biz online and none of them bet sport so also only suited for racing pros.

Bitwinning is absolutely useless, can’t get a sports bet on after 10pm, everything gets the message ‘Rejected: Bet refer is not available’. Couldn’t even put $10 on something.
I had a similar issue with Upcoz but they were OK about it.

They not only took my suggestion on board, but they actioned it by making sure I would no longer have bets processing for 10 hours outside business hours. I'm not sure if this was actioned site wide, or only on my account, but I was pretty impressed they did something about it.

I get what you mean. I probably agree for the skins that are fully managed by betmakers. Some of the user managed ones can offer at least a more competitive product.

Still though depending on how you play the game I’d still take advantage of them where you can. If you’re a bonus/promo bettor, get everything you can out of them. If you’re a punter and they’re offering best price on something you want to back, take it.

For the ones that do try and do the dodgy on anyone, plaster it everywhere you can.
