Pressure acts needs to start coming into your ratings. In particular because it is more valuable than a tackle. I'd also like to know what it looks like for metres gained across the team progressively over the season considering it will be a true measure of our progression from a defensive setup to a more positive attacking one. Actually I may sort something out myself and share.
Do you know where to get pressure acts and metres gained info from? I know you can get it in the app during the game but dont know where to find it post game.

I grab what info i can from those infographics Carlton puts up where (x) player was the leading pressure act person on the ground. But cant find that for every player.

Happy to include whatever information i can in the rebuild thread

Both are available from the premium AFL app on phones.

In the stats section of particular matches, alongside each player.

Ive found it and am collated something now i can send through if you like. Any way i can send an Excel file through over bigfooty. Ive be a few hours till im finished though i reckon. Just collating the week by week PAs and Metres gained. It'll be interesting to see the difference post bye as it seems like our game plan has changed so that some defenders dont gain much at all but others like doc simpson tend to make the most gains.

Bests and Worsts
Cripps has the best Pressure acts 42 in round 9 v Fremantle . Loves his home ground.
Docherty has the most metres gained 816m v GWS round 12 after the bye and the highest average. How did that tagging go?
Plowman has the least metres gained with 21 when you remove the ones prior to injury or the players with less than 5 games
Macreadie has the worst average ofr players that have played 5 of more games with metres gained
Rowe, Casboult and weitering have the worst Pressure acts average. Im okay with Cas and Rowe but not weitering who needs to be up a bit more considering he has spent time forward.
Cripps and Polson (1 game) average 23 Pressure acts the highest average in the team

Notes

Jack Silvagni Didn’t play the week after getting -2 metres gained
Polson got 23 pressure acts on debut, probably deserved another game
Pickett and Macreadie got dropped when his metres gained dropped off and he wasn’t scoring high Pas
Fisher was getting a lot of metres gained before his break and came back with a smaller number
Kerridge and Smedts don’t get a lot of metres gained BUT they both got dropped when their Pas were well down
Kruezer tends to build slowly week by week in both
Weitering's Pas dropped and metres gained gained once he returned to the backline v Fremantle
SPS had couple bad weeks with the two stats before he was rested
Fisher came back from the break really well in terms of pressure
Williamson was down after the break which indicated injury and or a rest necessary which occurred
SPS came back too early and it was noticable in these stats and they gave him another break
Smedts was never going to keep his role with the lack of pressure or ball movement in round 14
Charlie had a huge spike in metres gained since round 14 hence his comment about fixing his leading patterns
Boekhurst was never going to keep his spot after round 14 either since he couldn’t gain much despite his speed
Charlie with 445 metres gained in the week before he got nomimated for RS, Huge
White only player to get dropped based on this data for next week
Keridge has definitely improved his metres gained since beginning of the year
Williamson was getting progressively worse in the metres gain stat indicating his stress build up in the back
4 career bests in metres gained this week (Simpson, Kerridge, cuningham, Casboult), 4 career lows White, Cripps, Macreadie, Jones)

Great work, love that Fisher is in the top 8 for pressure acts

Was just looking at Weitering's pressure acts, alarming
i recall a few times that he gave up the chase on Tom McDonald last weekend when you would never have seen Jones doing that at all who would of ever thought wed be comparing Weitering to Jones), he needs to atleast look like hes trying to close the gap on the lead but he just gives it up. Perceived pressure for the next time can be enough to make him question the lead or the mark. I reckon hes been doing it since he joined us. He needs to be closing that gap. His professionalism is there for all to see BUT he needs to be working on his issues just like Cripps does in preseason. I hope that when they review tapes post game these are the things that the coaches pick up on. His metres gain definitely has huge variation but that has alot to do with match up and whether or not he gets the free defensive role. With Docherty going into the middle and no marchbank I'd love to see him get that role for the next few weeks particularly if they bring in Byrne to go with sheehan onto the smalls and Plowman can return to a tall with ASOS, Jones. He did get back to a high in metres gained when her got the chance to come off a wing a few weeks ago.

I don't question his will to compete, professionalism and team ethos. He is in the top end for endurance, so perhaps needs to work more on his power now. (Long distance runner compared to sprinter). The main thing for me, want to see his aggression to the contest improve

Charlie continues his rapid rise - he looks all but certain to finish the season inside the top 400.

A good couple of games has seen Kerridge rocket into the top 400 - wouldn't surprise should he give the top 350 a shake by the end of the year.

Gibbs, whilst not youth, has cracked the top 30 of the player ratings and sits in 28th now. Kreuzer is in the top 10 for rucks and top 100, at 97. Meanwhile Casboult has gone from 345th as of round 1 this year to 351st...

Edit: Since he's started playing in the seniors Jones has gone from 524 to 448, rapid rise.

After starting the season ~30 spots behind Weitering, Plowman has pulled ahead by a fair margin and will break the top 200 in a week or two. Just a terrific breakout season for him.

The top 400 welcomes back Kerridge for the first time since early 2015, the guy is playing well right now and taking his opportunity. Still way too slow at making decisions but he's working his butt off so I'll allow it.

Charlie's rampage continues, he's up 74 spots in 4 weeks. That's pretty strong form, averaging around ~15 points per game in that span; elite territory.

They're my 3 stars.

And it's nice to see Cripps jump a spot on the back of an unusually quiet game...

Could you post the GPS data from this week? Still not access unfortunately.

What a week, not really in a good way. But i like to keep upbeat, so hey, at least we played 14 youth on the weekend, it was impressive actually, even with no Cuningham, Cripps, Macreadie we managed to play 14 youth, equaling our most ever. Cripps out took a massive hit to our rankings, his 450+ out of the rankings equated in a 20+ point drop in our average rankings, which would have been even more if not for the inclusion of 'experienced' youth like Buckley, Sumner and Boek. Our SEN Inside Ratings were not nearly as impressive, we dropped down to 4.5 with a pretty poor showing form most of our kids.

Sam Docherty
has been moving into the midfield lately, even before Cripps went down but it was more pronounced on the weekend, if anything it means he gets less of the ball, but hopefully is more persuasive with his touches. With 29 touches he only managed 1 clearance but had 9 marks, 4 rebound 50's, 4 tackles, 4 1%ers and an inside 50 along with 6 unusual clangers. Lachie Plowman had a ripping game and continues to develop in leaps and bounds. He had 14 touches, 5 1%ers, 6 marks and his usual ZERO clangers. Nick Graham can hit a 30 meter laser one minute and kick it out of bounds on the full the next, but he was relatively strong, he had 23 touches, 5 marks, 3 clangers, 6 clearances in a needed effort in the midfield, he had 4 tackles, 6 inside 50's and an out the back goal. Jed Lamb is a really really - average player, and he does it well, he's not going to star but always does, middle of the road. He had the ball 22 times, including 7 marks, 3 tackles, 6 inside 50's and 2 goal assists. Sam Kerridge continues his excellent work rate and ball-magnetism, he had 30 touches, 5 marks, 3 clearances, 3 rebound 50's, 2 inside 50's and a goal assist but had some awful turnovers including 5 clangers. Jack Silvagni had a really quiet night, couldn't impact the game u p forward but tried to work his way into the game up the ground, finishing with 14 touches, 9 marks, 3 tackles a behind and only 1 clanger. Charlie Curnow continues to impress he had 14 touches, 8 marks and kicked 2 ripping goals. Samo Petrevski-Seton was okay, with 13 touches, 4 marks, 3 inside 50's and a goal assist. Jacob Weitering looks off, he had 10 touches, 5 marks, 6 1%ers and 2 rebound 50's in a performance which is below our expectations for him but is still good. Zac Fisher has some elite running patterns, he had 13 touches and 4 tackles in a non elite perforamnce, but one which continues to make me hopeful and confident for the future, he can play. Ciaran Byrne's comeback was very promisng, came in and did a job, he had 12 touches, 6 marks, 1 1%ers and 1 rebound 50 in a good warm up run. Dyl Bucks unfortunately got injured, but wasn't looking electric up until that point regardless he had 8 touches and not a lot else. Liam Sumner continues to disappoint me, 6 touches, 1 mark and 1 clanger is not good enough, barely troubled the stat scorer.

Does anyone know what defines a 'pressure act'? I've heard the term used a lot over the last couple of years, but still have no idea of what one is.
