Weekend Wrap and "Liked, Learned, Hated" right here -- How did tipping go?
We heavily frontload the first 2 years of a 4 year contract - I recall reading recently that the AFL only look at the first 2 years when deciding free agent compo - E.g (something like) $800k / $700k / $250k x 2 = $2m over 4 years - pretty reasonable for an AA winger
I'm a fan of Gaff.
He's essentially what we hope LOB turns into.
Pav?Bluemour said 'certain free agent in the West'.
May not necessarily be West Coast.
Which FA do Freo have?

I also think we'd hope that LOB ends up being like Simmo but with a much much better leg.
Would it be fair to say that most outside mids are front runners?
Their game is dependent on others to succeed.
"Goddess"

Pav?
Possibly And I see their value but I watch him most weeks and all I can say is I've seen him disengage far to often at crucial times.Would it be fair to say that most outside mids are front runners?

Dude, why would Gaff leave for $500,000 per year? He would be on more than that now. $500,000 is not a big salary and wouldn't be enough to tempt a FA of his quality.
snuff box?but you can't deny SOS's propensity to think outside the box
ehemm should we visit the 2016 premiership? If he has done only that, he was worth it for the dogsThe bloke was in charge of a premiership list so can't be too bad
We are signing the 3 Judd bous. Beat the WCE to their signatures.

I rate him higher than both Phillips and Lobbe (forward and ruck) but much prefer Kreuzer. If we were to get a guy like him we would be spending considerable coin on back up ruckmen. I just don’t see it.I agree with that, but given you are in WA and may have seen him more than others, would you say he is a better forward than Lobbe and Phillips? I do rate Lycett as a forward, but given the talls we have, plus BSOS, really can't see him as a need
Personally, i have a lot time for Phillips, hoping he can stay injury free
From what I know, Gaff is absolutely as outside as it gets in the AFL.
BUT, for a completely outside player (non-contested, high-possession wing) he's about the best in the league.
I don't get super excited about outside mids, but he'd be the best outside player in just about every team.
And for a young team looking to add pace, outside run and linking play, he'd be an excellent fit for us.
If the money is right, we should be able to get Gaff easily
Who would have a better shot?
At Carlton he can get paid and play in a good side (2019 onwards).
Get to play in front of decent crowds etc
Surely ours if we want him
